    2008 Tacoma 4x4 2.7l, 5-speed manual
    I just bought my 2nd Tacoma, a 2008 4cyl 4x4, 5 speed Access Cab. It is definitely a mechanics special and I’ve put a weeks worth of work into it already repainting parts of it and rust remediation, along with some front end work and new brakes. Overall she is shining up nice, but as an ex-mechanic I’m always tinkering or modifying something. So far, I’ve run into an issue getting a axle seal for it...I think Toyota chose to use a Lexus or Land Cruiser axle seal in the 5 speed diff. and Toyota’s parts department still haven’ caught up yet. Anyways, I’ll be glad to get and share tips on this site.
