The only time I've ever been off for 5 weeks was when I didn't have a job lol.

Shift work. Has its down sides but the best is the long stretches off. Didnt take any vacay this year due to pandemic so burning it all in hunting season before the end of the year. We lose it if we dont use it.

We were only allowed to accrue up to 240 hours but now as a contractor anytime I take off is unpaid :(

They did have to pay me out around 180 hours when they converted me over though and that was even after taking time off for our move so that was a nice check, minus all the taxes.

Morning all whateveren! Coworker brought his scanner in so we decided to see what code our shitty ford rental truck was throwing...evap system fuel cap for a truck that has no fuel cap. Interesting stuff, and something I'm not paid near enough to look at. Off to the dealer...again!

Man i hate when i look at the taxes I pay. I moved to where I am to pay less tax and its still to much. That cheqye sure would be nice though even with the tax. If we had that option instead of just losing the vacation i might take that option once in a while

Sorry about the shit shows. Everything ok? Hope things settle for you guys soon.

Not sure what we're doing yet. I think we might head to Flagstaff for morning eye exams if we can get an appt, hit our favorite place for breakfast and Mango chili margaritas, hike and hit the only bottle shop in Az that sometimes carries Moonraker :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed: to grab some to go stuff. I'm dying to get ahold of some Moonraker to try and our local shop can't seem to get it. My friend said there was a slight chance they might get some soon but I'm not holding my breath.

We had our Lasik done up there really like the doc so we'll only have our eyes checked up there now. When our middle daughter was at NAU we'd schedule appts on Fri or Monday and spend the weekend up there to spend time with her.

Supposed to be in the upper 80's here so we might also just hike our favorite trail close to home, swim and grill something at home. :notsure:

    How about this one?

According to tradition, the town site was so named after a local property owner ordered his farmhands to "scalp them bushes level".
    Just outside of Johnstown.
