How can I put a tonneau cover as well as a high bed rack?

I'm looking to put a tonneau cover on the bed of my 2017 5ft as well as a high bed rack. I've seen it done and uploaded a picture. I just am not sure if there is a certain way you have to do it/certain brands, or if it's super simple. Any advice?

 

That’s a KBVooDoo rack also known as MaxModular racks. In addition to the rack they used brackets also sold by KBVoodoo or MaxModular to lift it up a bit more to clear the cover

If you are in southern CA and not rushed, I actually think I have this set up mostly together (The KB Voodoo Tall Rack with adapters for Tonneau). You might have to replace some bolts, but you can have mine for like 100 bucks. It's sitting in my old roommates garage.

Retrax XR is a rack compatible tonneau cover. A pricier option though

The setup I am seriously considering since I need to fit my Gunner G1 large in my bed.

 

What type of tonneau cover are you interested in using? I see the picture you referenced was a retractable one but I wanted to confirm that is what you intend to run.
