Yeah that makes sense. To get OEM LCAs with all the parts you need to replace them it almost makes sense to just get dirt king or TC stock length LCAs. Which is what I would really like to get but I that's big money! I'll probably get the SPC bolts while I'm at it so if i run into the same problems then i have new bolts on hand.

You have a pelfreybilt front bumper right? If you do how long have you had it, and hows the powder coat holding up?

Thanks man! That's good to know. I'll probably replace the seal too. I'll call around the auto parts stores or look around more on TW for someone with the install tool. One more question, is the seal install tool and the bushing install tool 2 different tools?

I’d imagine so, I never installed my seal because the OE one was fine. Might even be able to do it by hand because it is a rubber seal but I’m not positive on that.

@SaphiraTaco wanna chime in on installing the seal? See a few posts up about the ECGS bearing.

I have the tool as well, but not sure how easy it is to get it to you. (Its actually in the USPS box from the last member that used it). You don't need any special tools for the seal from what i remember.

Thanks brother! That makes things a lot cheaper. Pretty sure vibes at 25-35mph is a tell tale sign of needing to replace the needle bearing.

I think I'll just order the bushing and if i need the seal i can run to the stealership in puyallup and trade one for my first born child and $20.

Get up to the speed where the vibes are, put it in 4wd, and if the vibes go away the bearing is the issue.

I'll try that! Appreciate it. My only other guess is I need to install the rear axle angled shims under my leaf springs so my rear diff and driveline are inline better.

All trucks are different, but I'm about +2 in the rear with no shims or carrier drop and have no vibe issues.

My guess is the vibes you are getting are from the bearing. I was able to feel vibes through the steering wheel which was a dead giveaway it was from the front.

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
Yeah, I figure the ball joint will be easy to change off the truck and I was looking at picking up this kit to replace the bushings.

My bumper is Brute Force. I ended up just rattle can primer and bedliner, as much work as it was though I would probably powder coat if I were to do it again.

Yeah I agree with you guys. My driveline was rebuilt 2 years ago with new u-joints/carrier bearing. i grease them regularly now, after seeing how bad the stock ujoints were I was pretty shocked.

Not doable by hand, but easy to do with an improvised tool.

Does the LCAs you ordered come with bushings? or are those bushings you're talking about going to be for when you rebuild your stock LCAs?

Oh ok, I had pelfreybilt powder coat my front bumper which I installed 6 years ago, and the powder coat is flaking pretty bad now and starting to rust the bumper.

I'm going to take my bumper off and send it to Seattle Powder Coat, they did my rear bumper 4 years ago and it still looks brand new. It wasn't cheap my rear was $425 and they quoted me the same for the front. But they have a really good prep, sandblast and powder coating process that's meant for marine applications so i figured it's a good investment.

Just picked up a 12k synthetic smittybilt winch on Amazon for only $500, so I need the bumper redone.
