It doesn't take a ton of force to press it in. You just need something flat that wont poke the seal. A wooden dowel would be fine, or a big ol socket.

I'm a fancy bitch so I 3D printed a tool to do it...

I have a new/un-opened OEM seal in Renton if you need it. I bought it with the ECGS bushing but ended up not needing it.

Thank you for clarifying, as I was thinking about it I wondered if it would need a bit more persuasion than just using your hands.

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
Yeah, these LCAs have the bushings and ball joint all installed, straight replacement for stock. I did have to drill out a little material inside to fit the bolt for my LCA skids but it wasn't much.

When it was all said and done with the amount I spent on a dozen cans of paint and stuff to prep I probably spent 75% of what powder coat would've cost.

Yup I made that mistake with my sliders too. They are welded on now so I have to clean them, tape up my truck and coat them in truck bedliner. Take it to Seattle Powder Coat when you're ready to get it redone.

Lol plenty I don't know. More like being like @bobsuruncle and having to do things multiple time.

As for the diff seals...soft face hammer is all I use. Just tap around the edge in circles. The bearing....pretty sure I used a bearing/seal driver for that? Been awhile since I've done one

I used a piece of PVC with the right OD to press in a similar oil seal on my pressure washer.

Thank you for that. Him and his wife are looking to be able to take the travel trailer, and be able to park it, drive around, then hook up again and move on. The air bags might give a rough ride without the trailer.

So $13 or so pay cut. Also take into account that cost of living is a little less, and houses cost a lot less. $600k might get you into a dump over there, but will buy a lot more here.

I had some vibes after I lifted my taco that I figured was driveline. It hit about 40-45. Pull the carrier bearing off, stack a couple washers under each side, and put it back together. Washers are cheap and easily obtained.

My local got a pretty good contract negotiation a few years ago, it would be closer to a $22 pay cut. I would love to live over that way but I’ll probably have to stay here until I’ve built up my retirement and more equity in my house :annoyed:
