Do you still have that sleeve that was made for you? That tool is and was clutch for those stuck in a predicament similar to yours if and when it happens to them.

yah I do have it. It is in the toolset somewhere. But would be available on paid loan given someone wanted to borrow it.

You may want to post it up on the loan buy sell specific thread for the blowers that I posted on page 1 just in case someone needs it now or in the future.

If you are loaning it I would suggest a deposit of what it cost you then refund it when given back due to fact it is a very unique 1/1 type tool very specific to it's intended purpose.

In general if we want to sell something, should we post on that thread but not this one?

My opinion, FWIW, is it depends. I don't think we want to turn this thread into another "Trading Post." That said, a number of us have benefited from swapping stuff related to the thread here (e.g., snout cutters, pulley presses/cutters, pulleys, etc). With that in mind, I suggest we continue trading/selling thread-related stuff here. If someone decides to sell their camper top, tires, armor, etc, that's better-posted in a specific "Trading Post" thread.

Just curious how many of you hang onto your stock take-off items suchs as stock exhaust manifolds or stock y-pipe? Initially, I kept these thinking I may need to put them back on for potential warranty work like an engine replacement (worst case scenario type of thing). Offered them for sale locally but will probably separate the cats and scrap the metal. With the magnuson moss warranty act, I dont really see a need to keep certain stock take-off parts around anymore. 99.999% chance stock exhaust parts will never be reinstalled.

We have emissions testing on the west coast so holding on to mine. Though, there are these local scrappers buying cats, maybe they have some local deal with garages lol.. not sure how legal or if it's worth your time. For informational purposes..

Intake and injectors are two items ppl really need to hold onto for troubleshooting later on when they have to do “custom” stuff later on.

The folks who install custom turbo's, superchargers, and other "custom" things install them (or a whole slew of things at once) and then when the truck doesn't run right you end up fighting tuning issues, and second guessing what the problem really is.

The EASIEST way to troubleshoot issues with custom setups is to reinstall the factory intake and either the N/A or TRD injectors. If the truck will not run/drive with those two things installed, there is 100% an issue with something under the hood.

    [/end rant] :D

Primary interest should be to keep things thread specific, however, I do agree, it depends. If you'd like to include your parts for trade or sale here due to the increased traffic present in this thread I think that is a good thing, but I would say if you have an item you want to trade or sell or even loan make sure you throw it up on the thread specific to it which is on page 1 (so it is easier to track for your sake and others as well that way everyone knows who has it) and then throw it up on here too so others know it even exists. I would just like to avoid clutter on the thread if it does not pertain, but since there is increased traffic here and the parts for sale are usually forced induction specific, it benefits many if not all to throw it up here.

Dude, those are worth a lot of money out here in CA. Out here, you can only use approved CAT replacements. The ONLY, and I mean the ONLY cats that are approved for replacements are factory parts and they cost a fortune. You need to put them on flea bay for $400 each. They will sell. I also have two set here, just in case.

Yessir, definitely keeping the stock N/A and TRD injectors for warranty protection too - not to be shady, but just knowing that most dealers will look for any reason, aka aftermarket parts, to deny warranty work. Stock intake is stashed away but hopefully will never need to see the light of day.

Good point. I didn't think they would be worth it with the cost of shipping, but if theres a market for them, its gotta be California. I may give it a shot.

Last time I took a convertor to the scrap yard I think I got $20. I'm guessing I'd be lucky to get $150 for all four now where I'm at.

I kept my stock take offs for a couple years. Then I gave up on storing them and sold most everything to members on here. Air intake, CATs, y-pipe, stock injectors.. the lot. Funded new parts with the $$.

I have one set of factory cats and have a set of greenie and now yellow TRD injectors. Of course my factory cats are still good and now I'm running the Bosch EV6 FIC injectors so I'm good to go if I ever need to revert back or replace the cats for whatever reason.
