That's not a red/orange rock that he's parked on. That's just the rust from his frame... :bananadead:

This dude following me in his FJ. No doors, no front glass, driving with a face shield. Appears he went “mudding”. I can’t imagine what the interior of that thing looks like!

I check this fairly often to see what comes and goes. They also just announced that they’re bringing MITS Alloy aluminum trays over from AUS. Deciding to go this route over Norweld midsize trays for various reasons which include and are not limited to size of the trays and ability to order powder coated. Pretty sweet.

Dude was asking what the reference about parking up or down hill, so I provided a link.

The person I sent the link to has a 2nd gen... and they wouldn't understand a 3rd gen forum reference.

I've only had the trailer try to roll down the hill once... I blame my wife for sitting on the tail end, not the fact I had removed the chocks to put under my truck to keep it from rolling over me while I worked on it. She had a very scary ride for a few feet, narrowly missing her car.

And yeah, now i'm wondering if you are just joking about it, or you are surprised I actually park a trailer on that driveway? o_O Is it going to rust out too?

I occasionally park my trailer on my driveway that has a similar slope, maybe even a bit more. After a similar incident I went and bought an extra set of chocks at Harbor Freight, turns out they stink so bad I don't want them in the garage so they end up living in the dirt right next to the driveway and are always right there if I need them.

HF is where I got mine too. They smell HORRIBLE, lol. They've only spent one night in my garage, and that was the day i picked them up. Been on the driveway or on the retaining wall ever since.

I mean, ideally it would be safer for anyone that travels downhill of it if there was a flatter place you could store it, along with making it easier to hook/unhook, but I understand the earth isn't flat(sorry FES) and you gotta make do with what you got. Sounds you're able to keep it secured and stationary when not in use so it is what it is.

That picture either makes it look worse that it actually is, or maybe it's just me :notsure:.

I've seen some pretty wicked accidents involving trailers and inclines/declines.

It's steep. I've seen worse, but it is FAR from ideal. I try to keep my truck backed up to it so it's ready to go at a moments notice, so at least if it rolled it wouldn't go far (obviously only if the truck was there, but that's like always now with COVID). with the chocks though, it hasn't so much as shifted. The only thing that saved it when my wife sat on it was that I used to run a chain between two wheels to make it harder to steel. The chain bound and spun the trailer to one side instead of rolling down towards her car. I now never let the trailer sit there without chocks. No more chain though, was a pain as much as I use the trailer (it never sits for very long, I promise).
