The LED shop lights from Harbor Freight do light up an area. If you want to see what your working on for the price you cant beat them.

I had a little Milwaukee bag that I wasn't using so I decided to put all the attachments in it so I don't lose them, perfect size. Gave the vacuum a little test run and I'm impressed. Works pretty well and not too loud.

That’s for me, I know I lose space with them but I always know if I have everything at a glance. Plus fuck having everything rattling about.

I need to redo my entire chest. I like the FOD prevention aspect of them too. Did you leave your angled dykes inside the panel you just screwed shut?

I installed a set of those in my kitchen pantry. Here is a pic to show how bright they are.

EDIT: I will add for those interested I also added a Y cable and two magnetic switches so the upper and lower sections only turn on when you open the right side doors. You can see one at the top of the lower section twords the right side.

I think I'm going to order those and the ones from my quote above.

The T5' will be for the bay and the smaller lights will be for the workbench. Excited to try those T5's and to ditch the typical "shop lights".

Yeah, I would not want them in every drawer for every kind of tool. But the bulky Wiha T-handles are complete sets, and I don't want to keep those on my pegboard. I'm fed up with my Hanson socket trays too. Could be excellent for complete wrench sets too, and very space-efficient:pout:. But I also am not made of time...for Ginsu mania. My soul is, but my current situation isn't.

    Anti-FOD.

*Sound of wrench or fastener falling through airframe*

Me: hoping to hear it hit concrete

Also me: Fuck. *gets flashlight, magnet, grabber, and inspection mirror*

I do love me some shadow boxing. I originally did my sockets with vacuum forms, then I found out that the variances in sockets screw that up. Now my sockets and ratchets all have 3d printed holders.

    20200930_165821_HDR[1].jpg

And when I find a better choice for magnets I will eventually do them all like my 1/4" holder. So nice to just grab a block of sockets when working on the truck.

Good to know. My current thinking is the blue style tray you have there. I've seen those online for reasonable prices. I think it was Olsen, could be wrong. I also like the idea of grabbing a socket kit before crawling into some awkward spot. we had small plastic box kits for the aircraft pits in Reno. One for 1/4, one for 3/8. I cut down all my old metal sticks for max fit efficiency.

There are options out there, I'm just kinda anal about my setups. I can keep my shop very clean if there is a place for everything, but if something doesn't have a place it gets placed anywhere... and then it's gone, especially when I need it.

    Here we go.
I started to build this when Texas first went into "lock down". It only took a few days.

It is a small room, but just enough space to get stuff done. I have a car port right outside the door which helps.
I designed it around the tool box and drawers.

It cluttered up pretty quick during my suspension overhaul.

Got a rolling toolbox from a friend who bought new boxes himself.
