Haven’t started to notice anything but I just topped up with gas from southern mass/RI. Not sure about how much they do down here though.

I'm actually getting 22 on this tank, so about half a MPG better than usual.

I crossed 5000 miles since I got the truck today and my lifetime is 21.4, not bad. When I hand-calculate it, it's usually pretty close to that number, maybe 21 actual:

Yup, 3.5 EcoBoost. Definitely can't complain about that mileage on a 5300 lb truck with 470 ft lbs of torque.

NOOOOOO!!! I've been waiting for this. I try to conserve every gallon because my round trip to work is 78 miles...I can JUST do a week + a few on summer gas tank...But as soon as winter blend is out it's every 4 days...My light came on at 378mi today and that's just about a record...I forget exactly what is left...I think it's 3 gallons at the light so I COULD get 60 miles...But I know I have to fill up on my way home. Winter gas puts the light on at like 350mi WITH 70mph cruise to and fro...

4 banger?? Man. I want a short cab and a long bed and I really don’t use the capability of the V6 enough. Every so often I think about trading it in for a 4x4 4 banger. That 2.7 is a damn good engine too. But I know I’d probably rather trade for a 4R for sleeping in it easier. :(

2.7 4 cyl 5spd manual. So I have the down shift when I need it...but oh the rust...
I know the control arms are aging...the steering linkage...the frame...Rear brakes...Parking brake cable...
I'm going to try and get my differential fluid changed but I think I should pre-buy replacement plugs.
I also need to do spark plugs.
    Just needs me some time!

If the plugs are that bad, remember to pull the fill plug first!!

The only plug I've had issues with on the Tacoma is the front drain plug. I had to chisel off a couple. There is a thread somewhere in the second gen forum about a Lexus branded hex replacement instead of the allen easily stripped BS.

I went to leave work at 8 o'clock & the state police were in the parking lot told us to get back in the building and one of our deliverer's is in his car and they told him to stay in the car. There's still a cruiser outside they must be having a manhunt in the area. Mansfield ma

Seriously?!?! That's nuts. I certainly wouldn't want to tow my camper without brakes.

not just with rust. Always do this.

what the fuck! That’s insane. That’s more than some f150s are rated for! I wanted to call shenanigans. But.

    https://drivinglaws.aaa.com/tag/trailer-brakes/

10k empty means you need electric brakes/a brake controller. There’s probably something that says over 3k or 4K you need brakes but surge brakes meet that requirement, where as over 10k needs a controller.

I hope that’s it. I really really hope.

Ah yeah manual helps too. Now I’m tempted to look again knowing carvanna is still giving good deals.

That would've been a bad idea. They were doing canine training with the new dogs and they were tracking "a fake manhunt" I wouldn't want to be the one they mistake for the target

That's more than MOST F-150s are realistically rated for. Don't believe the commercials, only the stripped down standard cab with the max tow and max payload package can hit the high number they advertise.

I don't think it is. I looked it up a while back and the 10k number was the only one anywhere.

I have been happy to have brakes on an empty 2500 lb trailer.

Yup, mine is the top engine and an extended cab with 3.55s and it's rated at 10,500 towing per the towing guide and 1750ish payload per the door sticker.

Realistically, there isn't a situation where I could see being over 8500ish which is probably a more reasonable number.
