They're side specific, I forget which side the longer one goes on though.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Passenger side is the longer one, you'll notice the difference isn't about lean it's about the physical placement of the shock mounts on the frame, passenger side is longer because it has to be above the frame for the bolts to clear the exhaust.

Thats unusual, maybe they're short handed or you have the slowest and worst claims adjuster at Geico. What happened? Accident and trying to get replacement parts?

I recently had an accident where i was hit and not at fault, Progressive had my first check out 4-5 days after incident, more by the end of the week with a final settlement. Was very easy to deal with, they too just had me send detailed photos and describe problems. I think due to the nature of my accident and that we both had progressive that drastically sped the process up.

That makes sense, it’s also the side it was on. I really don’t remember doing that haha and there’s no indication on the shock it self. However with that being said I put them on almost 4 years ago and I forget what I had for dinner the night before sometimes.

Find a scale and weigh your truck. Then give Alcan or Deaver a call. I recommend anyone who's building a heavy truck to do this. The off the shelf options aren't up to par for this. Mine are 1000 lbs and I know there are heavier rigs in here. When I weighed mine I had 2700lbs on the rear axle.

Check them yourself. I've had alignment shops try and tell me I've had bad joints when I knew for a fact they weren't. Especially if it's Firestone and you have a lifetime alignment. They lose money everytime I go in there since I never have anyone replace things on my truck other than myself.

I prayed that a 3.4 head swap and no start was just a sensor... And it was... The rust gods smiled down on me and @Rustacoma today.... Tomorrow they will stick their foot back up our asses where it belongs.... Then the journey continues...

nice job taping off the rubber. I neglected to do that when I bed-lined the flares on my '99 and it bugged the crap out of me. wish I had just sucked it up and taken the extra hour to do the job properly. looks sweet!

I actually removed and replaced the rubber completely so those are actually new as well. Thanks!

From Toyota. I would’ve bought off Amazon which is what I was going to do but I’m moving soon and wanted this done before hand and then would’ve delivered later than I’d like, basically would’ve been inconvenient so I bit the bullet and bought oem.

650#. I had 700# spring on my icons and they were way too stiff.

i'm running 620s right now and they are pretty stiff but not unbearable. I'd perfer something a bit softer, but I can live with it as is. Was thinking that on my next shocks I would try and go with a slightly longer spring that was only 600 lbs. all depends on how it is once I have a winch and all the other crap I plan to add to the front end added.

My trucks pretty heavy. But I think 650s are going to be great. Especially since I can adjust the compression some as well to fine tune.
