Anyone around Wilmington NC or few hours away that can install the OVTune 2.0 On my truck? Thanks in advance

 

Has anyone done a comparison of the stock tune vs any of the OV Tunes 0-60 times with stock or near stock size tires?

 

@tonered ? Only person that I know who has done it at all.

 

I've only done the Before. Around here it takes some effort. I wanna get the After though. Someday.

 

Shoot, if I get some time tomorrow, I'll see if I can do a couple pulls: stock, 2.0, and my own.

Albeit, I'm not sure how accurate it can be without resetting values. :/

 

Dang ! That would be great StormP,,, , thanks for the reply for sure....if it's worth noting, 0-60 for mine 100% stock is 10.6 sec so it is a slug no question about it lol....hoping to get tuned soon.

 

Yeah, I just watched a video and a guy got 9 high and 10 low on his 0-60s. I'm a stock trd sport, so should be comparable.

 

I wouldn't get your hopes up for much improvement over slug status.
It's more driveable more than anything else. Like how a stock truck should have come from the factory.

 

on the torque app tonered has pulled a 7.2 and i pulled a 6.9. we are both MTs, but the torque app isn't anything to go by. if you want to do a proper comparison the Dragy is what you'd want to use for some degree of accuracy. MTs are different than ATs so it's not a good comparison either way, but the point is OV delivers the performance over stock. most guys around here are concerned with driveability over these kinds of metrics it seems, but info is info.

 

agree but that slug status thing doesn't apply to the tuned MTs imo.

 

Sadly never did this but I did heavy mud terrain tires vs stock size street tires on the dyno. I can definitely say there was a massive difference haha.

 

Well, this is encouraging to say the least...not over expecting, but better is better and I'll be happy with that...who knows I may do 4.88's and the tune that would prob be alot of fun! Thanks again to everyone for the info/replies.

 

find the vF thread and look up a recent vid by @Mooseditty17 with a tuned AT if you want to see some good AT performance.

 

Will def check it out.
