Wireless uses an app on your phone as an interface. Defeats the purpose of constant monitoring if you can only see it when you open the app.

    Hey All
So, one one the differences between the two is that ScanGauge has transmission temp readout, and UltraGauge does not, right? I mean besides the form/size factor and the price.

I’m almost certain the UG MX can display trans temp now.

    Just ordered the Ultragauge.

Also ordered an Autel OBDII bidirectional-scanner. Hopefully I can find out what’s going on with my dash lights.

the ultragauge will read the codes for you.

Also, did you have any mice eat your harness?

Not sure about the mice thing. Where should I look first?

The bidirectional scanner will help me pinpoint faults and reset stuff.

    I think.

Check the wire harness in the engine bay. Only reason that I can think of, as to why all of the lights are on.. Also check fuses? The ultragauge will scan for codes and reset too.. or at least it should.

Could be a wheel speed sensor, vsc is usually linked to abs so they all go on at once iirc, a bad wheel bearing could be an issue too

I'm not sure how downhill assist works exactly but if it's getting any information from a bad wheel speed sensor then that might be why it's on

Edit: ignore above, no clue why it would be on if it wasn't switched on

Does it turn on automatically though? I just glanced at how it works and I'm assuming there's a button that turns it on if you need it, or does it come on automatically whenever it detects you going downhill?

On my 2010, you need to be in 4H and then press the button, and it modulates the brakes for you, as you are going downhill. I have only used it one time though.

    It’s strange.

The Speedo shows zero while moving.

When I hit the brakes, the Speedo needle moves to the correct travel speed.

That’s very odd. Sounds like something sensor/wheel bearing related since your speedo gets its input from the abs sensors. Best of luck with the Christmas tree.

Ordered the Ultragauge Blue. Arriving Wednesday. I’ll have a 8” tablet in the truck for this and for GPS mapping. Will help because I don’t want to switch back and forth with my reading glasses looking at a screen.
