Does anybody bring their motorcycle inside the house for winter storage?

I don’t know if I like the idea of the CBR sitting in my unheated garage all winter, and I know there are mice out there. :(

I’m going to take some measurements today to see if I can fit this thing through the front door into the entry foyer.

    Good idea or nah?

I've known people to bring their bikes inside their homes for the winter. I've been fortunate enough to either have a reasonably secure shed, a friendly elderly neighbor who gave me garage space in trade for mowing their lawn, or my own garage for the past 20 years so I no longer have to sweat these things.
I don't feel an unheated garage is too big of a deal but the mice could be. I know there are a few companies making a sort of "bike enclosure" that offers a floor with the cover zipping to it so your bike is completely encased and should be safe from varmints. Don't know what kind of money you might be looking at.
Is there anything you can do to get rid of the mouse problem? Any way to keep them out?

I keep my three in an unheated garage. Concrete construction. Keep them covered when not working on them.

Nah, it’s a big old garage from 1926. It’s their world and I just park my vehicles in it.

That’s a really neat solution and I appreciate it, but I’m sort of maxed out on my motorcycle budget this year.
I was thinking that moving the bike into the house would give it a safe and warm environment for its hibernation, plus it’s free, even if I would get weird looks from guests.

I leave my bikes in the garage. Put your bike under a cover and get a cat. Mice problem solved.

Just as a head's up.... Measure your bikes and doorway they need to pass through before you get them halfway and then stuck. Might need to remove mirrors to make bike a little narrower. I helped my former bil get his Sportster in and out of their basement more than once when we were younger.

Could buy a rodent repellent thingy you plug in to drive them away.

One of my old riding buddies parked his Low Rider in the living room every night for years till one night it fell through the floor. It took eight of us to get it out. Oh, did I mention he lived in a mobile home with a ramp.

It was the early 80’s. Nobody walked around with a camera in their pocket. As a matter of fact if you had a camera on you back then around bikers you normally didn’t fair very well at all and you never got the camera back :D

Use to do it with my dirt bike. Would do a tear it down in my dining room over the winter since I didn't have a heated garage. I would take the tank off, drain the carb, and let it air out for a few days before moving it inside though.
