Mine appears to have gone out as well. Still too dark (and early a lt 6AM) to fix it. But will check the 7.5 amp fuse.

Would you happen to have a pic of the circuit trace in question?

Just got mine in the mail. Any pointers on install? The guys who have popped the fuse or the trace, did you unhook the battery? I should be installing mine tonight.

I didn't take the time to read the packaging. Saying that, if it recommends that, I would to CYA. I'm still gonna have to check fuse later this morning

I am the same way. Normally don't read the instruction unless I have to, but after stumbling across this thread I will take my time and read through them.

Right? How hard could change a light bulb really be? Until.... ZAP!! I learned a lesson. Luckily it was just the fuse.

    UPDATE:

I was able to change out the 7.5 amp fuse under the dash, and all interior lights came back on.

My thanks to @tomwil for pointing me towards this threat.:thumbsup:

And my thanks to @LivinOnEdge for pointing out the fuse under the dash.:thumbsup:

Once you let the magic smoke out there is no putting it back in! Its always the simple project that turns into issues.

Yeah, no kidding. I installed the OEM power tailgate lock. Most people said it should take 1-2 hours. Mine took about 3 hours. It was rather simple and straight forward, but damned if weather didn't help.

Late afternoon rain a la Mississippi heat and humidity. In June.

I would unhook the battery or maybe just pull the fuse.

    THIS!
    Or pull the battery terminal.

The good news about all my interior lights is the polarity doesn’t matter. So basically pull the fuse(or battery) plug all the lights in and you can’t mess up the wiring. They will work either way plugged in. Then after you snap them all in, reinstall the fuse/or battery.

I disconnected the battery and still managed to fry a fuse when I switched from my original Whites to the new Dual Color.
