Only problem is all new trucks are pieces of shizzy. Had a 15 GMC Sierra ordered new. 3rd year in I dumped it. Way too many problems and recalls.

Called my dealer today about this tsb. They said that they are ordering pumps by VIN. My Order is in yet, I’m not holding my breath...no symptoms, just want this replaced before it fails at the wrong time or place.

So I really dont understand. You called to get it fixed and they said they are ordering parts by seniority order based on earliest VIN numbers? Sounds strange, not saying that is not true. I dont think most Tacoma owners are even aware of this.

I called to see if they were starting to fix the Tacoma's fuel pump tsb. They said they are doing one at a time per VIN. My truck has no symptoms yet but I want it fixed for peace of mind. Anyway waiting for a call from them to take it in.

Great guess CA dealers are more slick, gave me no date...said about a week.
Bet the week turns into a month!

Similar story here. Wife called to ask about it and the service lady was borderline rude about it. Made a point of saying no there isn't a list and no we won't call and let you know that a fix is available. 'So we're just going to have to keep calling back?'...'Yes'.

I guess the lady didn't call us names or say bad things about us so I should feel thankful. BTW, my father in law had his Lexus repaired for the same thing. Got a loaner because they were going to keep it longer than a few hours.

So someone started another fuel pump recall thread but I thought I'd post this here, as this is where everyone had been posting until recently.
Looks like the 'remedy' may finally be available.
Check your VIN's or Tag #'s.

Remedy is available. Who wants to make bets for how long it will be before I can get an appointment?

Just gave my dealer a call as well for the first time. After cruising the forums and not see an available remedy all year, finally called them and the parts are on order for my truck. Happy to hear this is finally getting taken care of!

What part of the country do you live in? Are they fixing desert-heat trucks first? I hear it's mainly a hot weather problem.

Hopefully the dealers give first concern to the trucks that have been baking in their parking lot, but I highly doubt they're structuring priority by regional temperatures.

When people start getting this done, can anyone confirm that they lift the bed, or drop the fuel tank to perform the recall? I might have issues with them lifting the bed due to some mods I've made to the wiring in the rear.

I'd imagine they'd drop it without touching the bed. With so many people having caps and racks, that would be a logistical nightmare having to remove all that stuff. But when the parts come in and I get the call I'll inquire about this and reply here with my findings

Just called my dealer. They won't schedule it for me yet but are able to order parts so they will call when it shows up to schedule it. Better than nothing I suppose.
