29 at the house this morning. The cars were a bit frost-kissed but I covered the plants up last night so they're all fine.

Last surge from the tomato plants, from the last couple of weeks. 30lbs of tomatoes = 31 pints of sauce, after some simmering down to thicken it up a bit.

It's pretty easy. I highly recommend one of these if you're going to be doing it very often, though. You have to run them through it 2-3 times to get all of the juice/pulp, but it beats the hell out of blanching & peeling skins, then scooping seeds.

I use a Victorio brand strainer and only have to run it through once. I’ve tried running stuff through twice just to see, but don’t get any more out of it. I cook my sauce down in a crock pot. Works great and there is less chance of burning it.

Yeah, but on the stove top is faster. I was doing it after work last night and as it was I didn't finish up until after 11. If I'm not pressed for time I like using the slow cooker as well, but last night I just played the 'stir occasionally' game. :notsure:

Those are nice too, but first you have to buy a $300 kitchen aid

Sorry I just realized the product in the link I posted doesn’t come with the grinder, you’ll have to buy that separately :(
In any case you should have the grinder anyway lol it makes some good deer burger

Encore Azaleas? Mine are blooming now.

All of my other (regular) azaleas bloom once in the spring, and that's it.

Last pic before the Big Frost the other day. Not too bad of a growin’ season this year. All 3 months of it.

Yeah, I just got mine in last weekend. Also a little later than usual, but last year we had a warm stretch in November and it sprouted.

The Fuyu persimmons are now ripe.

This tree is overloaded with them considering it is only two years in the ground.

My wife picking a few for her and more to take to work.

Last weekend my son led his Eagle Scout project, which was building 3 benches and putting in a garden. The whole area was recently renovated so pretty much a blank canvas. The garden area included a roses of Sharon tree, 2 sky pencil hollys, irises, and some other flower bulbs.
