It was supposed to be a 2 week shut down here in California, that was 6 months ago.

I want to buy now but have no reason to buy now I can wait, or skip the 3rd gen all together. I also want to see what the new Bronco looks like. I don't expect those to be discounted in any way any time once they are available.

i would wait, at my local dealership for a free tire rotation and it looks like pickings are slim for tacomas. I could find maybe 8 new on the lot and 3 used

8% before any rebates is a 'good' deal in 'normal' times. Try negotiating at the end of the month, or go on a rainy day. Dealership managers are always trying to make daily and monthly numbers.

Crawl control is neutered, early ones won't fit the factory roof rack due to shark fin placement, and late ones don't have the transmission aux air cooler.

Just do it. If you’re financially able to. Go for it. Life’s short. Enjoy the truck!

The costco dealers around me were a pain in the butt to deal with. Went multiple days without communication from them. Ended up buying from another dealership that ended up beating Costco's price anyways. That 50% off accessories coupon would've been sweet though.

Same! I got a quote for 16% off msrp that included a $1500 cash back rebate back in March or April. I couldn’t pull through the deal due to financial problems.

How long was Tacoma production stopped? Was the Tacoma plant running at full capacity before and is it at full capacity now? If production can't be increased then law of supply and demand will keep prices higher. Waiting for a cheaper truck could be a poor bet.

its 40-50 for a year to save much more. If you feel its a waste walk around one every lunch time and fill up on samples.
