Be aware. Notify the insurance carrier of your intentions to remove property from the truck. Especially, if you plan on removing parts.

That is 100% totaled. Sorry for your loss. Start looking into parting it out and salvage as much as you can for your replacement 2gen or to sell in the marketplace.

I'd imagine that will be a disadvantage. It's going to be hard to get enough money to cover replacement when the prices are so artificially high right now.

Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
Hundo P totalled, sorry, friend. On the bright side, you're safe and you're going to get a fat check in the mail.

Are prices artificially high right now? Seems like it's more a function of supply & demand that has driven the costs up. I don't think that qualifies as a manipulated market. Not that insurance companies aren't known for being in business to NOT PAY; I do agree it will be hard to get enough of a payout to replace the truck in the current market prices.

They are high, but I think the KBB values are trailing. So I fear prices haven't been high long enough to affect how much money they will give you. Either way, you always get screwed when in these events. You aren't going to get enough money for an almost 7yr old truck to replace it fully. I've had this crap happen to me several times. It sucks big time.
