It’d be nice if they were upfront about that to new customers and honest with themselves about what they can handle. I was ok with the timeline they gave me, but I had no idea they were that backed up and now it looks like my timeline is going out the window.

I sincerely wish them the best and hope they can rise to the occasion, not just for myself, but everyone else who has a unit with them, as well as for them and their business.

With that said, I think they need to sit down at the table and have a serious discussion on business practices.

For those of you in California are these the correct smog labels?

I searched the carb executive order D-425-15 and it looks good.

    TRD Carb Stickers.jpg
Also, there's a line in the executive order that sounds a lot like the 7th injector kit.

Yeah that's probably to include the TRD 7th injector kit (not to be confused with URD).. TRD offered a 7th injector kit for a little while way back when. They are rare to see nowadays

The URD 7th kit isn't CARB approved though...but I've had mine on for 2 smog tests now and they didn't say anything about it.

That's right...I forgot about the TRD kit.

He was a regular in this thread and was pretty involved with posts about the 3.4l blower before/after he got one installed, looks like he's lurked a bit since Feb but hasn't posted.

There are multiple of these that are applicable to our trucks. I wrote all of them down and what is different for each. 2.215" pulley can be legal for our trucks and a different fuel regulator as well.

This reminds me...I have the TRD headers on my 04 but the first time I went to get smogged, the tech told me that technically I could fail because the TRD Headers weren't marked as legal for the 04 model. I have the sticker for them under my hood too. I told him that was crazy and to check again, but he said that's what was in the system. He still passed me because he said he knew my truck was identical to the earlier models, but warned me it could be a problem in the future at other stations.

I just make sure to go to him every time now but it still worries me if I have to go elsewhere someday

Makes me wonder why they didn't legalize the TRD headers up to 2004, what reason there might be.

I believe the cost of doing carb for 2 more years of a model didn’t make sense because you have to test it like it is a completely new engine system. Or it’s possible it didn’t pass once they went to drive by wire, those are the years not supported
