Anyone on Oahu purchase the lifetime alignment from Firestone for their lifted truck? Planning to lift and install UCA's, and the UCA manufacturer suggests about 3* caster. Will Firestone here on Oahu do it?

Planning to get 2 alignments done (1 after initial lift and another after the lift settles). I saw Scotty's Alignment Shop mentioned here on TW. Any other places you folks suggest? And what are their prices?

    Thanks

I called firestone Kaneohe once, they wouldn’t touch my spc control arms. Scotty’s in pearl city always takes care of me and they’re knowledgeable with aftermarket parts. I’ve even had them do brake work on my truck when servco couldn’t fix a problem TWICE! Scotty also does a warranty for your alignment for a certain amount of miles.

If Scotty knows his stuff, I'd say keep him in business

Those lifetime alignments often get done in a rush by the cheapest employee at the shop. I wouldn't want someone to touch my truck if they are inexperienced or in a hurry

Don’t get the lifetime alignment unless your car is stock. I used to work for a firestone shop.

Cant speak for Hawaii but I got one here in NC and the first go around was garbage, I brought it there and it wasn't rubbing the cab mount. I even brought specs from my UCA manufacturer and they still did what they wanted. When I left the tires were rubbing the cab mount. I came to the Raleigh NC forum on here, like you're doing and they told me to got to Apex and talk to them. So I went to tan Firestone and they have a guy there that does lift alignments specifically and he got it in spec where I requested it. So long story short, I will probably use it because I paid for it, but I am also going to teach myself how to do my own alignment. I work on every part of my truck and hate that I still haven't done this on my own.

This^ or will get it close to spec as possible. The average tech wouldn’t know how to adjust aftermarket uca’s.

Not even the cheapest it depends on the person working on the vehicle. I’ve seen a few high paying flat rate guys do some shady stuff. (They’re no longer with firestone anymore)

Edit: I went to scottys last weekend for an alignment after I lifted my truck. I will have to go again since my paper work won’t be valid for recon. Only taking walk-ins at the moment which is a plus but you’ll need to wait (bring your own chair if possible). You can also try island brake and alignment, but will need to make an appointment. They are short staffed and backed up.

Depends on what’s needed to be done. Just call them and see what they say.
