    Have you seen this , 700 plus earthquakes since yesterday near the Salton sea / Salton buttes volcanic fields . Strongest magnitude of 5.0 with 50 Earthquakes 3.5 or stronger . This activity is on the Southern end of the San Andreas fault zone

    100% agree.

    Always have used Napa gold on everything when non factory was used.

    Someone I know built a pretty stout SMC. PUT A FRAM ON IT.
    Was having oil pressure fluctuation.
    Pulled it apart and checked everything.
    New oil pump.
    Put it back in the car.
    Fluctuations still.

    I saw that FRAM filter when he was building it.

    So I bought another brand filter and went over.
    5 other guys were there talking about what it might be.

    Oil galley
    Bearing clearance

    Walked over and put the filter on the fender cover.
    Put that in I said..

    No one thought it could be a filter.

    they found out different.

    After that they never used a FRAM product.

    I've had good luck with the Fram HP series filters now only use Wix racing filters or Moroso

    Those are miserable. When I stayed in Brawley there was a swarm one night. Just about the time I'd fall asleep one would hit. That went on all night. Seemed like about every 5 minutes there was one.

    Many years ago I noticed Dodge slant sixes and Ford 300 sixes would knock on start up with a Fram filter but not a Wix (Napa gold). Really any engine with the filter on the side or upside down, even a Kohler Magnum air cooled will knock with a Fram. Used Wix ever since.

    For the Tacoma I bought the fancy TRD oil filter -- must add 10 hp. :thumbsup: -- Seriously, it is a very nicely made filter...
