Some of our 'neighbors' down at camp are from Massachusetts. They're nice enough, they just talk funny.

Hey Chris @ABA180 or Rob @taco-houla or anybody else that knows about BMX bikes. I need to get a new bike for my son. I was looking at CL south coast MA and saw a couple of people selling some Haros and Redline bikes. Can you please tell what you guys think? Are any of these worth it/good deals?

We're all nice up here. Mostly.
I don't have much of that Downeast accent, though. I move my R's around but that's about it.

Back at my parents house I may still have my old Haro...think it's an X3. Not in bad shape but hasn't seen the light of day in 8-9 years at this point

only 150 bucks for a new cell phone, not many choices in that range. Almost 2 years ago, I upgraded from my IPhone 6 (no plus) to an iPhone 10. Holy crap, what a difference. The size is way too big, but I can see the screen way better.

How tall is your son? I am actually looking to offload my old bike but it's 21" TT so it's more for the 6ft range (I liked to have a limo, I went 1 size oversize usually).

It's been a while, you'll want either hi-ten or 4130 CrMo frame - Aluminum is for racing, and the redline may very well be built for racing. It's okay but won't really do as good as the hi tensile or 4130.

Haro was good, rugged and good price bikes. My local shop was a dealer, so there was a reputation around my hometown that all the "posers" rode Haros and you weren't a "real" rider unless you went elsewhere and didn't go to the LBS with mommy and daddy. Which was sad, they were nice bikes! .... I never had one myself :D

I would say check out the redline and make sure it isn't aluminum, I would tend toward the Haro.

I have a 7 now, my wife has a...8? 8plus? It's way too damn big. Phones went through the cycle of "smaller is better" and now "how big can we make a phone!?" it's silly.

I don't go for the newest and shiniest phones. I didn't dig deep, but if I wanted a new phone I can get an iphone 7 which does everything I need and then some, for 200. Nokia 7.1 for 210 ish. Does all I need and more and fits my pockets/truck cubby etc.

I only upgraded as we switch companies, and ended up with a line added and 3 new phones for a few bucks more than we were before. Come December, bill will drop as all 3 phones will be paid for.

Wife and I are 75/mo, prepaid (so we buy the phones up front).

My company gives me a phone, that's on a 2 year upgrade plan. So last summer I hit 2 years with the phone, so I got an upgrade. It still works....so I used the upgrade for my personal phone :) I don't want iphones myself, but it keeps everything to one cable at home/work/truck so that's nice.

I like my iphone 11. My eyes are starting to tell me I need something even bigger.

I just ordered a google fi Moto G(cheap) for a home and burner phone. Android sucks big time. wth Designed by meth addicts or something.

Speaking of addicts, I'm addicted to sales. I was randomly in Portland, ME today using the restroom at Home Depot and they had the Ego cordless chainsaw I've wanted on sale. Home Depot is dumping Ego-actually Ego is dumping Home Depot, so HD is putting them on sale. $264 out the door, came with battery and charger(same battery as my blower). Already cut the heck out of the random hard as heck log in my yard with a battery that was half dead from using my leaf blower, put the battery back in my blower and cleaned off the driveway. I kinda like it.

Any of my local peeps want to install some all new rear drum breaks for me? I’ll pay or bring beer or food?

    Drum brakes are the devil.

I did mine a few years back after a rear axle seal leak ruined the shoes. Half way into it I was wishing I paid the extra $100 for the dealer to replace them when they were in there for the seal.
