there is a CSV of these as well, so i can see the actual numerical values. however, a minute of time creates a huge log. A 30 min drive creates an enormous log that i spend a lot of time holding the down arrow on my keyboard.

maybe the degrees is in stepper (servo?) motor degrees rather than throttle angle?

maybe i have the wrong items in the log (im using matts logger)

    suggestions for a different logger?

14 to 17* at idle is very common and normal on DBW systems.

These do not have idle air controllers like older cars, where the TB can be fully closed

    Servo angles might be it?

I believe those PID are good.

I have used both the TS logger and the one on the last version of FM. Both worked fine. The TS one only does a set amount of time.

When monitoring, I mainly use a BT adapter and the Torque app.

    Thanks, Mat.

The idle air explanation make a ton of sense.

I can put that to bed!

This should answer your question somewhat. Check Mat's tunes for more specific numbers for the '18+ and then modify from there. You just need to make sure the charging goes down as temps go up. Pm me if you have any questions. I run a '16 manual but I can help a bit if you give me numbers from his tune.

    A note for AGM folks:
Spent some time doing research into the charging voltage vs temp for AGMs. Screen Shot 2020-10-01 at 4.13.18 PM.jpg
The voltage input should follow this curve down as the engine heats up or we risk frying the battery. I am finally getting a handle on exactly what each number means and will finish polishing them this weekend when I have time to go for longer drives and log voltage vs engine temps. If you run your battery in extra cold temps max voltage can be increased up to 15v but you should have multiple tunes so when the weather gets warmer you can switch back. If you live where it is crazy hot all the time I would dial these numbers at the top end down just a bit.
Here are some updated numbers that put 14.69 max voltage at the battery terminals and will drop them as it heats up. It is the later phases I will tighten up so we all can never max out vs the engine temp. You may have to change these a bit if you are running '18+ Tacoma's.

Base phase duty ECT(max voltage vs engine temp): 97.825,97.825,97.601,96.622,95.164,93890,93.210,91.523,91.523
    Phase duty 1-82.265
    Phase duty 2-67.601
Phase duty 2 base voltage 13.6v-97.922
    Phase duty 3- 64.140
    Phase duty 4- 65.531
    Phase duty 5- 71.023
    Phase duty 9- 71.023
Phase duty Base Voltage 13.6v- 97.922
    Phase duty minimum -67.8743
Do not change maximums under any circumstances.

here is the odyssey extreme tech specs. The info needed is on page 17 and our engines run at the far right of the chart above.

This is great, thanks. I should probably consider editing my own AGM settings then, bring them down a bit.

For the record though, I'm not sure you really answered the question that @TFly asked however.

I gotcha, so gears 1-2-3 will have the same values and then 4-5-6 will have the same values?

I also noticed in the picture I sent that gears 1-2 have the same top values but 3rd gears top ones are a little different but not by much.

question for those of you who used P5F before moving to VFT.....Did you un-install all of the P5F software before installing the VFT ? If so did doing this remove your "registration" which does not change (unless you use a different computer). Just trying to clean somethings up and eliminate the confusion = especially software conflicts and files. TIA.

I converted from a dongle to REG key before installing VF. I had no issues uninstalling before installing FM. The REG key stuck. As long as your system ID does not change, you can use the same REG key file anyway.

Is there a way to multiply a table value by a percentage on a laptop keyboard without the 10-key pad? I saw a video where you press the * on the 10 key and the multiply box pops up. But my laptop doesn’t have the 10-key.

On windows 10 you can use the on screen keyboard.

    That's how i do it.

To get to it hit your start button and type on screen and it should show up in your list

The reg key is imbedded in windows registry. Uninstalling fm does not remove it.

With that said, i left everything installed and just installed vf, it's a separate program

So, maybe Primary Throttle table values represent drive voltage percentage for the throttle motor?
That would make more sense in my head lol
Negative to haul it shut and keep it there?
    I know there's a spring involved too.
Anyway, negative values equal close the damn thing.

Very cool, any chance you might be able to save these tables to an Excel or a CSV file so a different ECU could do a comparison with what they have? 04B14 here

You could also open a spreadsheet (excel or free Google sheets), paste the value(s), do the math, then copy the new values back over.
