First tine here. My AC line is leaking from the coupler that runs to the dryer just wondering if this is a super easy fix or if I have to replace the lines. Can I just tighten it? (Check out the picture) I can hear the leak so I know this is the issue. Thanks ahead of time.

You have a better pic? This happened to me too I think. I went to a pick and pull and pulled a new line from a 99 and was able to make that fit.

Here’s how mine looked. This is probably what’s up with yours. Mine broke right below the flange and when I took the bolt off it just popped off.

I would get the o ring from the dealer. You might get lucky with one of those universal green o-ring kits. O Reilly has AC vacuum pumps for rent. Lube the new oring, snug the line and vacuum down the system to 28- 30" of vacuum shut the valves and turn the pump off. walk away for 15 minutes and it if doesnt loose and vacuum come back in an hour and if it still holds vacuum, recharge the system.

They redesigned all these pipes in 2001 to stop them from breaking like this. They have a kit you can get to retrofit.

hah. I literally didn’t even have to buy a kit to retrofit it. Just went to the junkyard and got one of the newer AC lines and slapped it on with a tad bit of bending. No need to spend more money

I wish I could find a newer 1st gen in a yard here. Those things go to rebuilders or get parted out and then marked up :/

That would be great, I work in Post Falls, so that's great if I can get parts from him once in a while.
