Luckily ours came back in ~3 days I believe, hang in there, so many ups and downs through this process. Ours is on cruise control at this point, close 10/15.

 

We have extended Due Diligence date 4 times. If it does not come back today we may lose the deal. But it is what it is I guess.

10/15 is pretty quick, did they do 30 days to close?

That sounds really messed up and just a bunch of excuses.

 

It is approaching fast. Started sleeping at the new place a few days ago, now we just have to clear out the rest of the shit. we went under contract back at beginning of Sept, so it was like 45 days +/- to close

 

So the full story is that it took awhile to get an appraisal lined up so we had to extend original DD. We got an appraisal done over a month ago, but about 4 days after they walked the house the appraiser had a death in the family and couldn't complete the report. This was on 9/10 with DD ending 9/11. So then we had to extend DD to find a new appraiser. Took a while to get one lined up but we finally got one scheduled on 9/19. They keep saying they have the report almost ready but it's been almost two weeks and we have had to keep extending DD a little at a time. I'm $5k into this in DD money now, plus $15k in Earnest Money so as you can imagine my patience is thin....

 

Are the owners making you pay more each DD extension? Surely they must understand it’s out of your control at this point.

 

They gave us three free extensions but asked an additional $2500 for the 4th. Which to me seemed more than fair.

 

I’m going to reactive my Facebook to sell some shit. What are the best groups to join to facilitate quick sales?

 

I wouldn't reactivate it. I nuked mine and started a new one (with zero friends) just to buy and sell.
