I like the "On Screen Keyboard" idea for Windows 10. Gonna give that a try tonight.

    Hello everyone.

Effective today we are making a policy change on orders. Purchasing anything vF Tuner (credits, software, etc).
All digital sales are final at the time of order.

We have no choice but to do this because people keep ordering the wrong things and blaming us when they don't even read what they order. We get charged fees every time.

So effective October 2nd 2020 all digital sales are final at the time of order.
Our website will be updated to reflect this.

Wait, people spend almost $1k without even knowing exactly what they're purchasing?!

I just want to know when the WiFi adapter will be back in stock. That's what I'm waiting on right now before making the move.

@OVTune I'm working on some torque converter tuning and have found that the #2 and #3 maps control D and ECT for the gears. I then realized a while back you had mentioned that the TC can do partial lock/unlocks. I'm going to do some testing again but maybe to help expedite it do you know which maps control the partial lock/unlock states?

For anyone thats been feeling the weird upshifts for a second or two before it feels like it downhifts again (usually 3rd gear low speed for me) but not seeing gear changes or TC changes when they log I think it might be that the PID doesnt have a status for partial unlocks so it will still show an unlocked state when it partially locks.

Does anyone have the time knowledge and patience to explain these torque converter locking tables. some have values that make sense most of them have a 255.99 which I'm assuming means it should never lock. But some of them are like you're locking forth gear third and you're locking second gear 5... I cannot make heads or tails of this

The numbers in the table titles simply refer to different maps. So locking 4th gear 5 means its the table for locking 4th gear but its the 5th map which operates under certain conditions. Right now from what I've tested is that maps 2 and 3 for gears 4, 5 and 6 are what control the full locking and unlocking of the TC in D/S mode and in ECT respectively. The other maps so far I have not figured out what they do but from my post above I believe they may control partial locking/unlocking. One may also be used when you have cold trans temps because my weird 3rd gear shift doesnt happen until I've been driving for 5 or 10 minutes.

As for how to tune them they operate in the same way that the upshift and downshift tables do. Locking tables behave like the upshift tables. Unlock tables behave like the downshift tables.

tables that have 255xxx means it will never lock, you are correct.

Not true! That just means it will lock around 230 MPH ;)

Is there an easy way to calculate my projected speed at 6300 rpm? I dropped 3rd to 98 kph on the map for 3-4 upshift. Shifts at 90 mph at 5890-5900 rpm. I'd like to push the envelope just below that cutoff without flashing 20 times to get it right. My goal is utilize 3rd to it's fullest extent w/out the god aweful shift, as I'm not confident in adjusting the torque maps as of yet.

Just wanted to report my experience with @Mooseditty17 tunes. I noticed a marked improvement over "2.0 final". Tip in and throttle response are more aggressive, and the power curve at 4000rpms has been mellowed out. Power comes on a little earlier and doesn't surge nearly as bad like a 90's 2-stroke dirt bike. There's still a big dead spot between 2000 and 3000rpm during moderate acceleration, but this is present in every tune I've ever tried, and this tune seems to have made it less noticeable than any others.

I just need some gear lock now!
Looking forward to the performance and tow tunes being released by @OVTune to contrast and compare.

But in the end, the more I mess with the truck the more I'm convinced I have to have the twin turbos to make me completely happy...

First and second pull strong, but third is short changed. Either need to figure out torque tables for shifting, or maybe upping the fuel cut off? Any suggestions? When I raised the max shift speed from 98 on map to 113 on map I had my hard shift issue at 101 mph (actual speed). At the 98 max shift speed it shifted at 90 mph actual? That means I asked my shift to go up by 8 and it went up by 11? Usually if I adjust a shift by 1-5 it's accurate on the speedo.
I really have no need to go that fast, but I'd like to know it's "right" the other side issue is I never recalibrated my speedo after 33s. So it's approximately 8.5% ff on the speedo.

Make all downshift and upshift values on each ECT PWR shift map, the same as the lowest number on that particular gear change. BAM! Gear Lock. Must use S-mode to shift with ETC PWR on. Thank @ForceOfG for this little Jewel

    @OVTune

Do you have an ESTIMATED release date for the Performance and Tow Tunes?

Will they be in .Vft format?

    Thanks

Didn't gear lock also have a higher redline or something along those lines? I remember that being part of why 1.05 93 Performance was so damn fun.
I can't believe it's already been a year and a half since those came out.
