Ordered an Old Man Emu carrier bearing drop for $13 and it’ll be here Tuesday. Figure it’s worth doing, even if that isn’t the solution. And who knows, maybe it is.

Honestly I am not totally sure how they could either. The thing is, you got your vibration post lift. The vibration goes away in 4wd. You got an alignment and balance. Everything points at something to do with that bearing. Otherwise there should be no vibration. Is your tire rim setup the same setup you had when you weren't lifted?

I mean your front is at 3" though which is about the max for those cv angles so those could be affecting too. That is why yanking those spacers out might be the best bet to trouble shoot before spending a bunch of money. Goodluck though.. I have a weird vibe in my truck at highway speeds but after months of trouble shooting I learned to live with it and call it a truck lol.

Did the shop actually install the bushing? I only ask because in the past I've had to deal with some shops/mechanics that are less than honest especially if it's outside of their wheelhouse so to speak. It's not a complex job but not entirely standard one either aside from places that do it routinely.

LOL, I hope so. No way to know without taking everything off and looking, I guess. They said they did have to drain the diff and refill it (evidently true, from a little oil around it), because the needle bearing dropped a roller. Seems like they wouldn’t have gone to that much trouble if they hadn’t actually pulled the bearing and dropped a roller. It’s a reputable shop, too, so I don’t think that’s it.

I hear you on the bearing. Same tires and wheels, so that shouldn’t be it.

No, but I will. I’d think they’d be fine, since they were pulled off and put back on when they did the bearing (a couple weeks after I did the lift, and after the vibe appeared).

I needed the ECGS bushing and rear leaf spring shims to get rid of all my lift vibes.

Did the Leaf Spring shims help correct a 2WD-only vibe?

Think that could be the issue, with a vibe that disappears in 4WD?

I say rear carrier drop is needed and put back in the front diff drop. Then measure and shim as needed. Maybe try a tapered block.

Free is always good. There are lots of these problems out there and everyone gets in a hurry to swipe that plastic card. I don't have that kind of money..lol.
Anything can vibrate when rotating. It can start and stop at different times, temperatures, and planet alignment. Try the cross rotate on the front and see if it helps. The road force idea is good too especially if you have E load tires. These trucks just don't have the weight to warrant those tires in my opinion.

Interestingly, I have been messing with my suspension ride height using shims so I can determine which length coilover to get. I am experiencing a 30-45mpg rotational vibration. This fits the needle bearing description perfectly, but the vibration is perceive is on the passenger side. Anyone with the needle bearing issue hear it more on the passenger side, even though the bearing is fitted to the drivers side?

Is the vibration you’re getting in 2WD only? As in, goes away when you put it in 4HI?

There’s supposed to be a ball bearing on the passenger side, rather than a needle bearing like on the driver’s side, although that’s just what I’ve been told. Suppose it’s possible that could have its own similar issues if CV angles changed. Worth thinking about.

I bought one of those and intalled when i did my eibach lift. I feel that it made the vibrations even worse. It is now sitting in a cabinet in my shed.

I may yet think the same. Figure it’s worth a shot for $13. I’ve already thrown a lot more than that at the vibe, with the cost of installing that ECGS bushing, LOL.
