Haha i don't know. It's a fancy digital gauge that has a separate MAP sensor. I should have just gotten a mechanical one and kept it simple.

Either that or i have a boost leak between the manifold and MAP. Or I just put on a very expensive fancy looking intake manifold.

Don’t worry about it, even the guys with working gauges aren’t getting any boost, the SC is working as designed :D

Is this the heat exchanger that the kit comes with for the air to water intercooler? Im interested in this kit, but I have the factory electric fan that goes right there... I wonder if the factory fan will fit over this cooler.

Yes, that is the heat exchanger for the air to water cooler. These trucks have a mechanical fan on the back side of the radiator. You have an electric fan?

Yeah I have a electric fan as well as the mech fan. Its part of a tsb for poor cooling and poor ac while idling.

I had no idea that was a TSB thanks for the info! But it looks like that fan stays in front of where the heat exchanger mounts though

I got to drive around with the super charger today. It’s fantastic! Ignore all the naysayers in here. They probably have a pesky boost leak somewhere.

Ill try to get a video sometime this weekend but in a nutshell: the acceleration is significantly better than stock (or OVTune). The drivability of the tune will take some getting used to. It feels like the throttle input is a bit wonky and the rev hang is worse. It might be the ecu relearning though so take it with a grain of salt.

I’m having a lot of fun with it. I’ll report more as I go on.

For those who were considering canceling their orders, don’t. It’s worth the money. None of the other options will have this level of quality or reliability. It is basically an OEM supercharger. With that you do get less HP than the other kits probably, but this is the only option I’d trust to last the amount of miles I plan to put on my Taco.

let me know how the tow aspect goes - this is the main reason I am looking at adding this mod - towing my 2000 lb popup tent camper at elevations btwn 7000 and 11000 ft above sea level with my V6 AT.

can't speak for "flat-landers" but towing here means rpm between 2500 and 4000 - so maybe the Magnuson will fit the bill. They just need to get the shifting logic for 4.88's figured out, and probably stock 3.91's too based on what I see - Toyota Mother Ship shifting logic sucks! Good thing OVTune figured out how to clean up their mess. VFT maybe the answer if we can figure out a OVT equivalent for the Magnuson SC with shifting and fueling logic.
