i agree. I’m running one of the heavier MT tacos out there and 5.29s IMHO is a requirement. Even then when doing moderate off-roading using low range is a must as first gear high range is still too high. BTW, I’m averaging between 13 to 14 mpg while driving all over Colorado

I use 4wd until I’m stuck and then use both lockers, winch, and maxtrax to get me out

I agree, wish I had the 2-Color. That's sharp, but I didn't see an Orange/Black option when I picked mine up.

Ok. I’ll admit I was using a $.75/gallon Safeway reward. But still it was $1.93 per gallon in the little (comparatively) town of Laramie

It was about $900 for the Tacoma and $650 for the Crosstrek. There might have been some better deals out there....but this is the Suntek Ultra which seem pretty decent.

what many people don’t realize is how prices vary so much over the country. Our previous home in Eureka, CA averages around $3.40 per gallon! Crazy

No problem! There are several other taco owners who have the same basic build and one of them has put over 100,000 miles loaded like this with no problems.
