I am looking to add roof tracks to my Leer 100R on my 2016 DCSB.

The thicker insulated part of the roof is 44" wide.

This would mean in order to mount tracks outside of the insulation the tracks would be pretty far apart(farther than on the cab) and probably tilted quite a bit.

Most the Leers I have seen seem to have the tracks mounted through the insulation, is this wrong?

People with factory roof tracks on your Leer 100R, did they drill through the thicker insulated part or did they mount them outside of the insulation?

My 100R's factory rails are mounted through the roof/insulation on a 37" center.

    Good to know Thanks!

I have read some people saying not to mount through the insulated section because it will crush if you try and tighten down the tracks.
But looking at the inside of my shell it seems like it would pretty tough to mount the tracks that wide.

Also have a 100R on my ‘17, the tracks are mounted outside of the ‘insulated’ area, spaced just over 42” apart...

very strange. the insulated part on my roof seems wider.
42" seems like a good spacing to match the trucks roof tracks

The insulated area in my topper is about 36” wide. The tracks are mounted outside of it, about 42” apart.

    Thanks for the pics.
We must have slightly different toppers.
My 3rd brake light looks different.
The roof insulation seems to be in a different pattern.
    The tag says 100r 52tcdc16 1g3
