Now that 33’s and King’s are in, the question is: With Mud Flaps or without?

I kept the rear on mine and removed the front. I think I'll eventually purchase flexible ones though, not sure why Toyota made them hard plastic, especially for the OR/Pro models.

    No, but yes.

I went without for a long time, but would cringe with every rock bouncing off the rocker panels. The Toyota flaps suck. Get a nice set of universals or bespoke flat, flexible ones.

I had a set on my 2006 that I had to shorten. But with the Toyota running board they the cat's ass......

My 2016 came with shorter flaps and OEM boards..... Great combination.... My paint is protected very well....:thumbsup:

Yeah, I also have a OEM running board. Wondering if it holds much if I take the mud flaps.

Sorry, I like the look without, but love the practicality of having them. Mine didn't come with any

Do you off-road? Don't your tires rub on the front? I was never able to find front flaps that worked with my almost identical setup.

got them all up this week and even though the shop told me it could rub at some point, so far so good. Only rubbed once or twice. But will take off roading this weekend to test it.

I bought OEM flaps because I had a lot of rocks kicking up. They work for me.

I moved to a colder area over last winter, where the roads are salted. I installed the flaps in the spring because I was so sick of how much salty grime kicks up all over the side of my truck when it snows. Haven't had them on in the winter yet but my hope is it will require slightly less washing.

I say lose em. Of course they serve a purpose, but for me, the look without is worth more than the little protection they provide. Trucks are supposed to have some character anyway.

I'm also driving on paved roads 90% of the time and dont live where it snows or salt on the road, so idk if that would change my mind
