Need wheel and tire advice for my 08' Taco

Ok. I'm new at this and could really use some advise from all you taco experts.

I'm looking to put on new wheels, tires, and a 3" lift on an 08' Double Cab Long Bed, TRD Sport

I know what wheel I want: PRO-COMP XTREME ALLOY WHEELS 16 x 8 FLAT BLACK

I also know I want: BF Goodrich All Terans.

Here's where I need the help, any advice would be appreciated:

1. I want the largest tire size possible without any rubbing keeping in mind my 3" lift. What size will that be?????

2. I want them to stick out atleast 2" from the truck? What do I need?

1. If you don't want any rubbing at all, and aren't willing to trim fender plastic and possible chop the cab mount, then the biggest you can fit is 265/75/16.

If you are willing to do the cutting, you can fit 285/75/16's.

2. 4.5" backspacing on the rims is ideal for our trucks for fitting 33's. If you get rims that stick out too far, the fender will rub on the outside of the tire when turning.

4.5" backspacing will push the wheels out about an inch over stock. Any additional rim width you get over stock will also make them stick out.

So if you currently have 265's on you stock sport wheels (which are 7.5" wide and 5.5" backspacing, I believe), buying 16x8 rims with 4.5" backspacing and running a 285 will make the tires stick out approximately 2" further than stock (but not 2" out from the fender).

Also make sure those rims fit without having grind the brake calipers. Some models of 16" rims require some modification to fit on our trucks.
