agreed. I work in a machine shop. When I work on the truck I wear my eyes. I also just have millions of oairs of them because I’ll randomly adopt pairs at work.

 

I was sitting in a meeting a few years ago, and just knew there was something wrong with a dude's eye--black as heck and it didn't move. It was a glass eye with a punisher skull on it, as he had his real eye shot out in Iraq.

He had a couple different versions, but he would occasionally take it out and play with it or take it out-put it in someone's pocket and say "I''m keeping an eye on you".

The T-Case spec changed in 2016. Post warranty I’ll run something more boutique in the diffs. I’m going to run MT90 in the trans.

YMMV, but I jacked up the front and there wasn’t any 6-12 play in the wheels. Some noise when spinning the wheel, but I didn’t know enough to tell whether it was normal or not. From all the threads I’ve read it seems like these bad taco wheel bearings have a number of different presentations. The idea of taking wheel off and feeling the coil while spinning the hub sounds like a good one

A question on brakes


At how many miles should I need to change rear drum brakes on my truck. I have 103K on it now. I last changed my rotors and pads in ‘16 with about 53-55 on them at that time.
all highway miles for the most part . Brake feeling a tad soft lately.

There is an adjuster wheel that can be accessed through the backing plate, or if you have never cleaned them then take the drum off. It will only go one way unless you move the lock arm out of the way. 5 clicks minimum then check how it feels. I put the rear axle on jack stands so I can spin the tires. You will want a little bit of drag but not much

So the front load washer was acting up..
I took it apart and noticed a broken shock. I replaced that...But now it looks like the shock broke because of why I would guess is a broken spider assembly in the back...now I think I'm at the "time for a new washer" moment that's going to make my wife ECSTATIC because finally there's something old Mr. let's just fix it can't fix...dammit...
Is allowing your wife to buy a new washer an appropriate 17th anniversary gift?
