i cut more things down today...

 

Just leaving the stumps or are they getting pulled eventually as well?

 

once all the trees we want gone are gone i'll be going through with a stump grinder.. WAY too many to go pull all of them or wedge split them... grinder will be most efficent. most of these trees are tiny too. widest base i think was 2 ft.


as of now all were keeping is some for a wind break this winter and anything maple.

Be nice having all that land free of trees. I love trees but the open space is better around the house/yard.

the old trees are staying for now. the cotton woods are going either this year or next. sucks they have to but 2 of them are hollow (like they love to do) the eventual goal is to plant new trees on the hedgerow as we call it and eventually plate a bunch along the fence line of the field


as of now its all the scraggly young trees that are just growing wild that are getting downed.. and of course dead ones

 

the cotton woods are old.. theres 3 in front of the barn. and theyre MASSIVE. actually theyre the tallest trees for miles out here. but they hollow...
