Before Evening Critter

 

Hey all. Long time lurker on TW, but getting deeper into things these days! Just hit some bonuses at work, which are pretty much all going into Atilla (my 17 Pro Taco). Pulled the trigger today on the VF Tuner, 5.29 Yukon gears, Deaver Leafs and adjustable dampening A.D.S. shocks on all four corners. Now the waiting! Can't wait to get all this here and put in! But in the meantime, while I wait, going to hit Big Bend for like 4-5 days in about a week! Never been there. Got any tips for fun trails or anything I NEED to see/try

It's stuff I've been wanting for SO many years, and with my wife in a long term recovery place (she's going to be fine! just there another month or so) and not spending any money lol, the timing just worked out finally. Was able to get some deals on most of it, since I struck up a wholesale deal with ADS Shocks, and I've had a wholesale deal with 4WP for a while, so all that falling into place pushed me over the edge.

So btw, to get this out of the way now... I AM technically a sales manager at Charles Maund Toyota, but I'm only here to talk Tacos and go get my truck dirty with y'all... I'll NEVER try to sell any of you guys anything. BUT if anyone ever comes to me for advice or whatever, I'll always happy to help you guys if I can. I don't make commissions that way so it's literally just me helpin' a brother out.

 

Cool! Glad you stopped lurking! Big Bend is awesome! Black Gap road can be done in a stock Pro if you known what you're doing. It was EASY for my rig...No lockers!
That 1 obstacle the folks talk about on YouTube isn't anything near what they make it out to be.

Ah, @Mr.Pain drives the train behind my house sometimes (not often enough). He knows how to drive without earthquake rumble, and lets us know with excellent horn play!

Oooh, we've been excited about mornings in the 50's! But without clouds, it goes 80-90 and feels great. Like a "real" Texas Fall. Got the greenhouse floor down, and have to go finish it off, then redo the shelves for my new vision.

 

Looks like dandy floorin’. Perfect for that application

 

Will do for me! You should see some of the fancy flooring and base walls I see in the Palram FB group. Many are glorified she sheds and parlors, some with marble floors! I got fancy with my "fairy lights", and put in the other string. Kind of hard to be "randomly beautiful", so I channelled downtown Dallas!

How bad of a job is doing the lower control arm bushings on a 1st gen taco/ 3rd gen 4runner? Mine are garbage, must be the source of my shimmy.

 

Bottle jack and Mapp gas torch will get em out. Shop press will get new back in.

 

Do you recommend OEM or whiteline for replacements?

 

Either will be better than what you got. Whiteline seems pretty good.
