    Well alright!

I could take it out to the State Forest and shoot along the gas pipeline cut.
Meh, I'm old. I'm more patient than I used to be.

I'll have to find out what he was shooting, but my stepdad can hit a quarter at 1000 yards. He's got a buddy with a large property and they like having fun occasionally.

He can be occasionally talked into doing a competition but he hates people and always says he's rusty.

Hunters are the biggest conservationist there are.

Just didn't come up in a hunting family. I'd like my kids to though.

They truly are, by and large.

It would be a wonderful thing for you to teach your kids how to hunt.
They'll remember it for the rest of their lives and be grateful to you.

    I mean that sincerely.

I remember sitting in my dad's lap around 6 or 7 shooting my first rifle (which he braced so I didn't blast my shoulder off). Lots of fond memories. I took my dad's first gun he ever got .410 out my first time dove hunting and he gave it to me last year.

I hope you and your children enjoy it and the memories.

I'll have him send a photo. He used to be a competitive marksman in the AF.
