I actually went back and started my config file over again from scratch last night. I had gotten to the point where I didn't know what I had changed anymore and didn't make an original copy for a backup. So far I got everything working besides the bed and hot end heaters, but did successfully get a bed level mesh so that's good. I think I definitely overwhelmed myself and just needed a break. I've been told you definitely need to tell yourself sometimes, "that's enough for today, take a break and come back tomorrow", and that seems to have been solid advice for me. Except, tomorrow, was 2wks lol.

I was running octopi prior to the duet, and the built-in web config and wifi is what drew me to the duet. I had tried klipper with the RPi prior to the duet also, but for some reason felt the duet was the way to go..... :bananadead:

I'm sure I'll be able to look back and laugh.

    One day.

Filament back in stock and on its way to me!! I think I'm going to have to ask everyone to stop buying filament so it stays that way.

Well after a good night's rest and some reading before I just jumped to just editing lines of config, I'm back and printing again. Now I've just got to dial it in and fine tune a few things. But I'm at least heating and extruding filament onto the build surface.

What do you use the Pi for with the duet?

Currently I use it to activate the light inside the enclosure, and to activate the shunt trip. I'd like to get it working with the telegram bot to notify me when the filament is jammed, or the print is finished, and for the Spaghetti Detective to monitor for bird's nests.

I don't typically make things for my vehicle but have made a few. I mostly use PLA since I bought a shit load of it when I started working with 3D printers.

I can use full CAD design but tinkercad is so easy I use that unless I need high tolerances.

    Some examples.

Gasket with rubber PLA for a 4K camera with extended zoom lens.

9 light LED holder for a large Christmas light display.

Power supply endcap for 12V Christmas light displays.

I am currently upgrading my smoker and just designed a holder I can mount on the side of it to hold a 6 temperature probe thermostat. I will print it tomorrow.

Next I will create a reverse image for a silicone mold X2 so they can enter the side of the smoker but not let out and heat/smoke.

    I haven't designed it yet.

The only thing I made for my vehicle was angled holders for LED rock lights to mount on the inside of my sliders out of harms way.

I haven't mounted them yet only because I hate to do the wiring.

He visited me today too! Been trying to print this spaceship for a coworker, lots of problems with his model. I blame the fact that his computer is so old it's still running XP...

Completed my first ABS print on the first try :woot:. Surprisingly it turned out better than most of my other prints using PLA or PETG.

Hero me 5 cooling duct that houses a 4010 fan.
