Did you have to do anything? Will 295s fit with an 2” lift kit? And did you need any new UCAs?

17X9 -38 and 295/70R17. 2/1 lift, CMC and lots of plastic trimming.

    Stock. I didn't notice a big change and/or difference switching from 17X8.5 with K02 285/70R17. I drive slow anyway.

No CMC. I walked into a deal too good to pass up. 75 year old gentleman owned this truck and had all the work done for him. Lift, Amp research steps, Frontrunner roof rack, 35’s etc. He traded it for a Jeep Grand Cherokee because he couldn’t get up into it any more. Bought it with 48k for less than 24k. I stepped down to the 295’s because the turn radius was abysmal. Which caused some interesting moments on a couple of switchbacks on the Colorado passes We were exploring. Love these tires, Truck rides nice and runs straight and even though I lost an inch I gained so much in return. Got the tires at Discount Tire. They ordered them for me. Took a couple of weeks to get them though.

That’s awesome man! One lucky opportunity
I bought my Tacoma from my brother who had kept it fairly stock, bought some Methods and 265s, but that was about it, the tires are low on tread and I’m wanting bigger. I’ve heard Ridge is the quitest
I was kinda worried about the CMC, did you do anything special to make it fit without rubbing? Tryna get a “to do” list almost for what I’ll need to order or do Yknow

I have done very little...put new shocks on it and am saving for new leaf packs and UCA’s. I can tell you that if I had kept the 35’s I would have had to do some work to make it right. In fact when driving some of our back roads that have a steep pitch into the sharper corners my tires would rub...enough so that there were some “oh crap” moments where it would pull hard into the corner. The step down in size to the 295 ridge grapplers and new shocks has fixed that. Do your research though, because there are a lot of individuals on this site who have and have posted great information.
