We have had a few Mazdas in my family. I had the 07 mazda3 hatch 2.3 5speed, no issues at all with that, currently there is a 2015 mazda6 with the 2.5L, and a 2017 (I think) CX3 with 2.0L and AWD. Neither have had any issues. Nothing newer than that right now.

I trust their car the most even tho there won’t be any long blocks involved.

oh well who knows if I even make a move. Wife is getting a new car in the summer and right now we have no car payments. Not sure I’ll want two.

I had a 2004 Mazda 6 Wagon manual and it was a blast to drive, I added roof tracks for kayaks and bikes and such.
Then, just under 50k miles, engine ejected a spark plug (#5 if I remember correctly) which took the coil pack with it. The newest car I had owned to date and it sounded like an ‘84 Subaru with the exhaust manifold delete mod...loud as f...
Dealer in West Springfield basically put a larger plug in and still charged me for the repair even though it should have been under warranty. Grrr.
I fought with Mazda for the next 6 months before, at about 70k miles (sales job= high miles) the plug blew again...on I-91. Ford dealer (same motor as the Fusion) put in a helicoil. I traded it in for a Legacy wagon the next week...at a dealer that also sold Mazdas.
With all of that being said, Mazdas are soooo much fun to drive that my efforts to keep the brand in the B.F.L. Column (banned for life) are faltering. I’m looking at Mazda 3s myself as my Little Blue Truck is admittedly not the best highway rig after mods.

Yeah that was a ford motor. Ford sold off all shares of Mazda during the crash in 08/09. They don't share motors with ford anymore. Their motors are solid.

Failed the blower door test .We are done . Calling building inspector Monday for final inspections. Daughter and son in law are moving in the next couple days . Blower door test guy recommended insulating the basement walls so it’s added as a conditioned space to pass the test . o_O Fuck that . Who the fuck do they think they are . Going to do some sealing with foam or caulk around sill plate where it meets the concrete and basement windows . Also the attic access needs better sealing . We are not spending anymore money to insulate the foundation walls .Building inspector basically said not a big deal if you fail the blower door test .
