My old B&D gun still works great...despite years of hard use. But the old nickel batteries just aren't holding charge long these days. The Ryobi has 2 18v lithium batteries.

 

Lithium is where it's at. My old Porter Cable NiCAD is so heavy compared to my new Milwaukee Lithiums.

 

I agree. My Ryobi impact uses a deeper cycle version of the same battery that came with the gun. So technically I have 4 batteries between the 2 tools. My GreenWorks trimmer uses a 60v lithium.

They all charge up in less than 30 minutes each. Gotta love that

Ryobi cordless gun with 2 18v batteries, a nice little heavy duty tactical flashlight and a 36" LED shop light for my bench...to replace the old one which doesn't put out much light.

 

Oh man, theyre keepers!
