Interesting the number of tractors that are following.

I wonder if they swap in the tractors that are following it after X number of miles?

Or do they need to connect them all together to pull it up a steep mountain hill?

They were going down a canyon, so they were helping with the brakes at this point. I think there’s normally 3 trucks

As I'm pulling the rest of my hair out with this ARB bumper installation, Delta puts up a picture of their new bumper.

Everything that I've seen and purchased from Delta is like quality from another galaxy.

I wrote a scathing review about the ARB bumper on 4wheelparts site.

The more I look at the light kit and other parts, the more I'm convinced this is some cheap Chinese shit.

After this, I don't want anything thing with the ARB name on my rig. I'm done.

I know I've complained about ARB a lot on this thread but I agree. My bumper is rusting from inside the tubing out while the rest of my frame and truck is perfect. The install kit and instructions feel like an afterthought. And don't even get me started on all the trouble my Dakar leaf springs have given me. And customer service just wants you to stop talking to them which is nice.

I'm tempted to put my ARB on the flatbed and get something better for my double cab. But I want a front hitch receiver on the flatbed so that won't work.

4WD works awesome on the 4runner now.

Went and order up 5 new tires this morning, Toyo Open Country A/T III, since I liked the A/T IIs so much on the Tacoma. Jumping up from 265/70x17 to 285/70x17LT 10 ply tires. Should have them Monday afternoon.

After that, I went to the Reddington Pass OHV area and did part of a trail called Chiva Falls. Pretty fun, only did part of it because when I got to one part, it was pretty gnarly and I was running solo and didn't know the trail. Made the judgement call to turn around there for now. @esxcl would have a lot of fun climbing the falls there in his truggy, nice 2 step staircase that is about 4 or 5 feet each step. I figure at least 35s or 37s for that area for the hard shit. There is a bypass tho, still pretty rough looking.

Managed to drag the front skids, exhaust crossover pipe, gas tank skid and rear diff over a big ass boulder. Least I didn't get hung up, that would have sucked.

Video of Jeeps running the trail.

    https://youtu.be/KSb84BJtkU8

The hill in the background here I had to come down and is where I scrapped the underside up. Need more lift and bigger tires. Part of that happening soon. And probably some better than stock armor would be a good idea.

4Runner was solid tho. Shifted into 4LO nice and easy. Gearing feels maybe a little lower than the stock tcase too. Rear link arms have really tightened up the rear end on the road and still flex good off road. They certainly aren't the limiting factor in rear travel right now.

No vibrations driving on the freeway, all the way up to just over 80mph. Very pleased with the changes so far!

I hate to say all OME stuff is trash since my front suspension hasn't been bad. I just think the Dakars have bad quality control. My rear passenger shock also hits my leaf springs when I flex out and will eventually put a dent in the shock. But I'll be doing a rear shock relocation at some point.

Think @Wulf has been doing fine on his OME stuff.

I suggest Coastal Offroad for the front. Talk to the guy and I bet he can incorporate a receiver in the front bumper design for you. Either weld it up yourself or have someone do it. Loved mine on my 99 and plan on getting another one for the 4Runner.

Other than being a little weak/soft with a load, I never had issues with the Dakar leafs on the 99. And I really like their greasable shackle kit, even tho that's easy enough to fab yourself.
