Another vote here for inside the cab. It's like a gun. If the s*** hits the fan you'll need it quick.

I am very interested in this set up since I have the Total Chaos bed stiffeners. What type of clamp do you use? Any issues with it so far. Thanks

I have one and fire tools when offroading because it can get pretty expensive to get charged suppression costs if your muffler starts a brush fire.

Hey. It's just the strap that came with the fire extinguisher. It hasn't come undone once but it pops off easy if needed.

I bought and mounted one of these. It’s great...doesn’t limit seat travel, small, and lightweight.

The tank is 2 7/8” in diameter. Height of the red bottle is 9 1/2”.
Total height of the extinguisher, including nozzle assembly is 12 3/4”. I believe this is a somewhat standardized size.

It is an ABC fire extinguisher, that is a Garrison model SRFE-2M, bought at Home Depot in Canada. Not sure if they sell the same line stateside.

So this is a little off-topic, but sifting through this thread I see a bunch of people using the element fire extinguishers with a 50s runtime. They seem...interesting...I had a really hard time finding actual videos of these in use except what appear to be promo videos. I get that they have a longer runtime and don't make a mess, but isn't the point of the powder to help smother the flames anyway? The pressurized tanks also suck a ton of the heat out of whatever is on fire. This thing seems like it may actually be on fire itself, which would only contribute to the problem. I'm really curious which would perform better, one of these small tube extinguishers or a 5lb conventional.

Anyone have real world experience with these things?

Only have experience with a conventional. It was disappointing.

Have mine mounted similarly. Fits under the factory tonneau.

I found this vid, it seems like it would be fairly effective for contained fires like you might find around automobiles.
