Dang your heading west on us. Any advice on what ramp to start looking around? I think im heading down after this blow stops. Dont feel like camping in 30 mph wind lol.

Do you have skids? Rocks get trapped between my exhaust and skid all the time and make horrible noises. A flat head screwdriver taped to a funnel makes an excellent stethoscope if you checking pulleys.

I'm not as familiar with OBX fishing. @Chase8059 would probably be a better guy to ask

I decided I’ll just go with the icon rxt leaf pack. Deaver never responded to my email so I don’t feel like giving them my business. I contacted headstrong to see if they have the icon ready to ship.

Of all the research I’d done previously, these were great leafs except some people reported axle wrap. They’re $750 shipped and I was like “well at that point I may as well spring for deaver so I can have the best.”

I was talking to my wife about what I’ll be doing to the suspension (new leafs and tuning the shocks) and explained how I never heard from deaver. She was like “is that really a company you want to buy from then?” I explained I could just call them, but it made me realize I don’t want to.

So I’ll go with off the shelf icons. They’re configurable, and the #1 option is good for 1.8” lift with no weight, so it should be a good fit for me to keep the butt end low. If that’s too soft/saggy I can swap leafs around and go with option 2, but I don’t see that happening.

Yeah really. I like to talk about truck stuff with her, it can be fun. Then she has a small view into this world and my hobby, and later on I can reference our convos when I go to buy something expensive. Then she understands it a bit and doesn’t really care.

My wife just glazes over. We talk about other things now. Like why our dog seems to enjoy puking water on us.

LOL tony has done that too. Every time after dinner, without fail, he’ll walk over to us sitting on the couch. He’ll stand there with his head over our laps, looking all sweet. Sometimes he burps, sometimes he wretch’s, and every once in awhile, he’ll throw up some water/kibble he just ate. Once it was on karas lap. Luckily she had a blanket covering her so not a big deal.

Hope you didn't laugh at her. Fancy just drank a ton of water. Jumped on the bed and puked it back up on my wife. While she was sleeping. I was informed I shouldn't laugh at her. I definitely wasn't aware of this rule.

My wife literally told me to stop talking about my truck. I've used that as justification of not telling her about any of the stuff I've done to it.

My wife is pretty into it. She really likes wheeling and backroad adventures. She doesn’t help work on the truck, but is pretty damn supportive of $ we put into the truck.
