Garage Shop: Tools

Had that problem at work, on the security footage you'd see people get up and wave around for a second then sit back down. Never failed to disappoint

It does what its meant to really well, if you try to push it beyond its limits it bogs down (like it should) overall im super happy with it!

 

Got around to some shop organization and rearranging today in preps to put my sink in tomorrow. Finally no more washing up using the hose

 

Cleanest it's been in months. I used to work more orderly when I didn't have a garage LOL. Now that I don't have to put stuff away when a project is done usually leads me to be lazy

 

I bought the M12 dust buster for around the house and really like it, my mini 1 gal corded shop vac has more sucking power but its great for pethair/dirt/drywall powder/dryer lint/ect. Not very good in carpet though.
My co worker has the M18 2 gal wet/dry vac and its pretty nice.
Best part about the M12 vac is its got the five year warranty, I realize its just a motor that provides suction but I doubt other vacuum brands warranty up to five years.
Personally for household vacuums I love love love shark, high quality and they are super easy to take apart to clear out blockage.

 

I can relate to tools being scattered around at different projects I keep finding forgotten tools and parts all the time.

 

All looks nice except for water heater still needs to be on a stand no matter what model or type

I did that to a certain extent, but eventually my laziness took over and just started slapping things wherever. I def don't have OCD but I hate searching for a tool when I misplace. I have several "kits" but then the downside is they don't fit in my toolbox so now I have a bunch of blow mold cases scattered around, i started labeling some of them LOL.

Oh yeah, I'm constantly trying to find something, walking around like

for what reason? Never heard of that unless it's for an area prone to flooding as a best practice for protecting the heater.

It’s code here for any water heater in a garage or shop. Gas vapors hang low even though water heaters are safer now than they used to it’s still on a stand for safety

Hmm, I put this one in about two years ago and no requirement, my dad is a master plumber of 40 years. Most new heaters have a FVIR system negating the need to do so. Local codes may dictate otherwise though.

 

Yea I’m a plumber also. It’s still code here is all I’m sayin.

 

Gotcha, probably not a bad idea by any means. maybe when this one shits the bed I'll put the new one on stands or blocks. It's only used for heating in the winter months so doesn't see much use though.
