I’ve been sifting through pages and pages of overland mods. I’m looking for any that make my taco more functional for being a beach truck.

I typically haul kayaks and paddle boards. I also run on trails and swim a lot and use my truck as where I stretch and recover from workouts.

What are some mods I can make the truck more functional for me needs?

A couple mods I have in mind are a always-hot usb charger. A bed mat will make the bed easier to stretch in.

    Onboard air would be convenient.

On board water to rinse sand and salt water off.
    On board air.
Roof rack or bed rack to mount awning and water on.
Traction boards incase you get stuck.
Awning for shade and a refrigerator/ e cooler to keep refreshments fresh and cold.

U need a bed mat so u don’t bust your ass not stretch on it’s not a yoga Matt . Get a good bed rack for the kayaks. Maybe a storage box for wet gear that’s covered in sand so it doesn’t get all over the bed of your truck . Some kind of water system and air system .

Im in NC and frequent the Beaches on the OBX at least once a month, my gear list is as follows for beach driving.

    Onboard Air
    Tire deflator
    Valve stems
    Shovel
    Awning(newly acquired)
    Recovery Gear
    60q Grizzly cooler
    Bug Spray
    Flashlight

Traction boards are a wise investment although i do not carry them myself. (subject to change)

Everything else should be suited for your specific needs.

Not a beach mod but a construction guy mod. Always keep a cooler with cold waters in the bed. Bed stiffener work as the locking point.

Onboard air, either a northstar group 36 AGM battery, or a second battery, fluid film (often), falken p rated wildpeaks (I run circle around guys who run M/Ts in the sand), one of those overhead water showers, and even some of those plastic board for when you get stuck.

If you surf fish, a portable rod holder is convenient.

That's a pretty good idea. After i got back from PINs i laid under the truck for probably an hour with a water hose trying to get sand and salt out of all the nooks and crannies
