I don't blame Cam Newton for calling in sick, I wouldn't want to play Patrick Mahomes either.

I would rather watch the entire telecast in Spanish than listen to Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth.

    And that shitty theme song.

    the point being...

everyone got their rest and yet still there are injuries...

so as much as rest has to do with preventing injury, injury will still occur with or without the proper rest..

Some injuries can’t be prevented and no amount of rest will ever prevent them - someone landing on your foot and then being hit causing your body to move in a way it physically can’t.

Other injuries absolutely can be prevented due to rest - pulled/strained muscles.

I don’t know why you’re so against facts about proper rest and recovery. Like I said yesterday, these guys are all playing with some sort of minor injury and never get full rest. They still have to go to practice which isn’t getting rest. I’ll just assume you’ve never played sports at a collegiate level or above, but you’re working non stop and it’s not easy or possible to get the true rest you fully need for a proper recovery. i just think its all kinda funny and a joke

when someone wants to change brain and spinal injury frequencies in the nfl they get laughed at

but the idea of stopping knee and shoulder injury with rest and less frequent play is like smart and totally makes sense..

i am not against rest and recovery, 3 games in 11 days is ridiculous

but the idea that a schedule is set in stone and can not be moved around is dumb... nothing is set in stone and the season/post season dates very well can and should be moved around...

this just got off topic, my gripe is not against rest and recovery, its against the idea that covid should be treated like any other injury

you have a reoccurring back pain that you mention here on TW, an on and off problem you have been dealing with for years it seems, right??

i mean, at one point, it seems no matter how much rest and recovery, it always comes back... right??

but you still go about your life, surfing and riding motorcycles, right??

at one point we make a choice to deal with the pain... i think idk ive never played with a ball i guess

Chargers just fumbled at their 6 yard line with 41 seconds left in the half.

Covid can’t be treated the same because unlike an injury, it can spread to teammates and other staff. It puts a lot more at risk. That’s just the unfortunate world we live in now

The difference is that they’re paid millions of dollars to play a game, have some of the best equipment for recovery available to them. I’m just a weekend warrior for the activities I do, and I don’t do them until I’m recovered so I don’t re injure myself. These players are also being shot up with opioids and other steroids to numb the pain and keep playing

my back issue could easily be fixed but I’m lazy and don’t do proper maintenance on my body if you will.
