Finally finished my washer fluid reservoir inspired by @Blackdawg. I'll install it tomorrow.

Flatbed with an aluminum deck and a spot for a toolbox is the whole plan right now. I have a notebook full of drawings, ideas and measurements. Still settling on taillight ideas. Need to finish weld the inner frame and then add the outside rails yet. I think all the frustrating squaring of things is behind me now, so hopefully it'll move faster.

I think it’d be easy to square/build off the truck if you have the room, flat level surface. But what do I know

In for the build though, I want one

Yeah, I thought so too. Turns out steel is not always perfectly straight from the factory, had to do some tweaking.

    Nice. Keep us updated!

It most certainly isn't, especially hot rolled, cold rolled is usually fairly straight though.

You were 100 percent on this. Went out and smacked the dash and the light went on and off. Pulled and broke the dash and replaced the bulb. And passed smog

eh probably not. I just don't see a need for it on lug nuts unless you never take your wheels off.. never had a nut stuck unless it was cross threaded or on a trailer that hasn't moved in 20 years of sitting in a field

fair enough. as a tech at the dealer, cant stand anti seize on lugs. but thats only because of the inevitable mess it makes on the wheels when your rotating.. anywhere else? yea i use it.. alot.. living in the rust belt you love that stuff

Thanks for the input. I have been reading on this and people opinions are all over the place . It’s a good debate. I use a little on the lugs only because of the salt belt. Reason I brought it up is I hade my tires rotated and in there notes it said lug nuts filled with grease cleaned out with brake cleaner.

Yea some dealers they remove the stuff. In the owners manual it states not to use it. So as a legal protection some dealers remove the stuff incase someone has an issue they can’t sue the dealer

For the average person, not a whole lot. For me, it makes the drivetrain into a lego set much as the suspension and armor is for the rest of the truck. No longer am I stuck to using an OEM maf (or any MAF haha) or old narrowband O2 sensors, or factory small fuel injectors. I'm changing everything up a good bit and making it a real two bank system so fuel can be trimmed individually on the left and right side of the engine. And changing to VE metering with alpha-n fallback (instead of a MAF).

You always see posts around here of people spending their 3.5-5k on a supercharger and some antiquated fueling adjuster or addition like the 5th or 7th injector, and then it still doesn't run to its full potential and often times introduces new hiccups to how you have to drive to avoid ping. This is because the factory ecu is a potato that was programmed to function one way, and one or two old ass boxes modifying signals still can't wrangle it into behaving properly for boost.

This ecu lets me use any parts from any manufacturer to build my engine how I want it. Then allows me full control to tune properly. I'm adding more modern sensors essentially to ensure it functions properly in and out of boost. As a complete side effect, I can also tune for more efficiency given the more precise sensing too. This box is a true all in one. No separate fueling modifications or piggybacks, no separate wide band o2 controllers, no separate boost controller, no separate GPS and traction control unit ... This has it all built in.
