Academy must have their stuff together again. I have been out of town for almost 3 weeks now and they actually had several Glocks available.
I was FINALLY able to get the G26 today. I love the fact that the G17 & G19 mags fit it as well.

The G26 was my first Glock. I made many Road service calls in Atlanta with it in my pocket. It’s still one of my favorite EDC guns

Glad I found this thread. Bought me my first gun (Glock 48) last June. 396FA09A-BCE4-4050-BD40-A34CD07A785B.jpg8F775C7B-F0D0-46CA-9EE9-73A57C7DDEC2.jpg

Right after you told me to get in touch with a local FFL, I had to go back to work offshore so I couldn’t get anything moving. I got back home yesterday and just happen to look at Academy last night. I guess I got lucky and they had one. They had people waiting behind me to buy the Glock I was able to get. I still need to get in touch with my local guy to see what he will need if I have to get another one. I bet your business is still booming.

Is that a 48? Just curious why you grabbed that to replace the 43. They're pretty similar right?

It is. The 43 is 6+1 where the 48 is 10+1. I'm also just a Glock fanboy

Had the 48 been out when I got the 43, I would have just bought the 48.

I like G48 for the extra 4 rounds with factory mags. I haven't gotten into the 15 round mags for a couple of reasons but they are available. The grip and barrel are both a tad bit longer but I don't find it significantly more difficult to conceal most of the time. The other 10% of the time I still carry my G43. Usually that's just in workout clothes.

Thanks. Just curious why you'd make that marginal change from the 43 to 48. I carry a 19 w/ x300 99% of the time. My wife has a 43 that I'll grab sometimes but it's usually when we're riding bikes or something.

I can't really give a good reason for swapping other than I just wanted too :D I have no doubt that the 43 would have served me just as well......and I will still carry it depending on what I'm doing/wearing.

Picked up my new Glock 45 yesterday and tested it today. For me, it seems like that it handles better than my Glock 48.D2245F10-9198-4ACB-BE21-70237B37F44D.jpg

my G48 will not be lonely anymore.

We used to be able to shoot on public land but people started leaving trash at the site and dumping garage refrigerators, TVs, etc. Of course, the city didn’t want any one to get hurt or be liable. I guess some people just have to be irresponsible and ruin it for others. The public range ran by the sheriff’s dept is not that great and a lot of newbies lately. Sometimes I actually worry that someone will get shot in the back. Don’t even think about going on the weekends.

I’ve been going with my uncle. He is a competitive shooter so he is very meticulous. I’m 50y.o. and feel like a little boy when he is around. Gives great tips and has a boat load of drills that he practices.

So I picked up a 22 that a dog used as a chew toy

I decided to try my hand at a 23 chop. I'm happy how it turned out. 22 on top.
