Fair question, and a real consideration. It comes down to the fact that my Ridgeline was breaking down frequently, it made sense financially to finally own a new vehicle and I HATE being a 1 car family.

Also, I didn’t pay MSRP. it’ll be slightly under, I just don’t know the number yet until the vehicle arrives and the Costco prices / rebates are applied. $1K rebate or 1.9% is the incentive here for October. I am not looking forward to November incentives, which I am certain will fill me with loads of buyer’s remorse.

Ahh Canada, ya different ball game, not passive aggressive at all, just how you read it bud. They are separate down here, which is important to clarify for new buyers and people asking the question, the person asking the difference is in Arizona, which would mean they are separate packages unlike your Candian spec'd truck and as you alluded to just like LEDs there are other packages which I know you don't get up there except on the Pro, unless that changed too, which sucks.

Been looking to buy a new truck for over a year now (Pre-Covid) I've been driving a 95 4Runner for 10 years, its about on its last legs. I wouldn't say I need a new truck but I wanted one. I make good money and feel I got a decent deal on the truck. I also live in Canada so slightly different circumstances. I really wanted a silver sky TRD Sport, 2020 is the last year you can get a silver sport in Canada. So I had to jump on the last one in all of Western Canada. I was originally just going to wait and order a 21 mid 2021 or when the market cooled down but since they don't make what I want I had to buy now. Thought about going used but I'd only be saving roughly 5k or less if I bought a used one. Interest rate on my new truck is 1.99%, a used one would of been over 5%. I drove that 95 for 10 years so theres no reason why I wont drive this thing for 15-20 years. All these guys in here upgrading from 2016+ trucks are just crazy IMO. Some people like having the latest and greatest stuff. If you can afford a new truck every year why not? Thats just not for me though

Totally get it. Like you alluded to, myself being one of those guys who jump to new trucks yearly, it was silly even when I was getting 13% off MSRP and Private Party value for my trade, last deal was $36k trade (paid $37.5k), $39k new truck ($45k MSRP), buying my same truck now at MSRP would be $6,000 more, definitely not a time to be a buyer, not to mention when it comes time for resale, you're likely not getting that back. I feel for those that need a truck right now, sh*tty situation. Almost makes sense to spring for a PRO if you can afford it, since traditionally they hold crazy good resale, so if you pay MSRP and traded next year you'd only be out a grand or two as opposed to a lower trim which is gonna be a $10k hit trade in paying at MSRP.

I am upgrading a 2018 yes but it is because I love the Army green,if it didn't exist I would not be upgrading. And I won't be upvrading unless they come out with a non gasoline model and I dont see that happening for 5 plus years

Gotcha, easy to tell yourself, full LEDs look like this as opposed to the traditional projector halogens with LED running light.

They kind of gave up on hydrogen awhile ago, not really where the market is headed as opposed to electric/hybrid, they made a commitment to offer a hybrid / electric option in every model by MY25 in a recent press release. The Toyota owner surveys have been alluding to a hybrid option for awhile now and the inside engineer leaker here said same thing.

I'll look Friday, they are putting a 3inch leveling kit and also transferring my KO2s and steps off my truck. I also popped for the full protection package as the AG is a matte paint plus i have kids so the faux leather needs protection

Yes. I did use a broker. I actually had the MF wrong, it’s .00143. I got more detail on it today. Sale price amounts to 6.5% off sticker.

I am actually torn on whether to lease or buy (sale price will be the same obviously) but I am pretty satisfied with the discount/price.

For October and here in NYS (thank you for your sympathies), Toyota is still giving $1,000 cash back on 2020 Tacoma's and $500 for 2021 Tacoma's. Also for the 2021 Taco's, Toyota Financial Services will give you $1,000 if you finance thru them. You cannot get both the $500 and $1,000 tho.

I'm getting my new 2021 Taco in a couple weeks and will pay for everything except $5,000 which is the minimum you can finance.

I'll borrow that $5,000 for 24 months at 4.29%. Payment will be about $218 per month of which $200 will be principle and $18 interest.

I can cancel after one payment and pay the balance of $4800.

So that extra $500 cash back will cost me $18.00.

It may not be available in all states however but definitely worth looking into to help pay for your new 2021.

    Jolly

^ Good strategy to save. Man have rates and deals dried up. Just Feb, paid $39k for a $44.8k MSRP truck and financed at 1.9% for 60 months w/TFS. They are definitely taking advantage fo the situation and demand with low inventory.

Army Green is matte? It's just not metallic right? When I hear matte I think of something like the Mercedes Allanite Grey and Cashmere White.

It’s more of a pearlescent I think, definitely not a matte paint, but get what he was saying.
