I only had one morning where I ran into other hunters. My first year hunting Idaho and was expecting to be stepping on people all over. Maybe I just get in before anyone else shows up or lucked into a spot that gets overlooked.

Swore I’d never pay to hunt. 2010 I joined a lease. Don’t regret it at all.

Back in the spot where I shot my 2019 buck, 2018 doe and my sons 2018 buck. Kinda concerned mast isn’t dropping like previous years.

I bet rifle is going to be a totally different story than archery.

The thermometer may disagree, but it sure feels colder this morning vs. yesterday.

    Since no hunting on Sunday.
Went out and grabbed the cameras.
Very few pics but what I wanted.
Now I know which direction they are going
    by the stand.
    15 yards
    2 clear lanes.
On my left from the stand.
Tree will hide me until 9 o’clock position..

This is my fav view walking to the stand.
Feels like a tunnel in the dark am.

Been tried many many times to change it..

    Nope.
Naturalist and tree huggers need a safe day too.
    I respect that...

So between working on fall switch over I had to pull out the crossbow.
Next week is my opening day in my other section.
Still debating the possibility of one and done or chance for two.
    But I love this crossbow...
    20 yards is right there..

This 30 yards is right there.

I want a deer RIGHT THERE LOL

Naturalists and tree huggers have the entire year. And to say they need a "safe" day implies that hunting Sundays or hunting in general is inherenty unsafe. The 38 states that allow Sunday hunting have ZERO conflicts with hunters and non-hunters. Safety is a non-issue. And years of data support that.

Here in PA we finally managed to get the legislators to allow us three Sundays to hunt. One in archery, during the last week, bear season and rifle season. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the soccer moms and Karen's. "We like to hike on the State Game lands on Sundays". Oh you mean the State Game lands bought primarily with hunting license dollars.
